Calvin Ellis was born Kalel of Krypton and sent away as an infant before Krypton’s destruction by his parents, Jorel and Lara. His ship landed on Earth, where he was found and raised by the Ellis family, who named him Calvin and taught him to stand up for himself and fight for what was right. As an adult, Calvin became both Superman and President of the United States, protecting his world through public leadership and direct action as a hero.

As President, Calvin balanced the responsibilities of government with his secret work as Superman, assisted by his staff and advanced technology. He later became involved in larger multiversal threats and joined other heroes beyond his own world, serving as one of the major Supermen who defended reality against cosmic dangers. His story presents him as a version of Superman whose mission extends beyond saving lives in costume, since he also uses political power and diplomacy to protect people on a national and global scale.

Appearance: Superman has dark brown skin and a tall, heavily muscular build with broad shoulders, a thick chest, powerful arms, a narrow waist, and strong legs. He has short black hair cut close to the head, brown eyes, dark eyebrows, and a clean-shaven face with a defined jaw. He wears a fitted blue bodysuit with a textured surface, subtle panel seams, and tight contouring across the chest, abdomen, arms, hips, and legs. A large red, yellow, and white shield emblem sits across the upper chest, with a bold yellow “S” set inside a red-bordered crest. A gold belt wraps around his waist in angular segmented pieces, matching the gold bands around his wrists and one lower leg. His cape attaches at the shoulders and spreads behind him in wide fabric panels, with deep red outer sections, warm gold-orange inner sections, and pale trim along the edges. His boots are blue and integrated with the suit, with smooth fitted shapes around the feet and ankles.

Personality: Calvin Ellis is composed, principled, and highly disciplined, combining Superman’s compassion with the restraint and responsibility of a head of state. He is confident without being reckless, politically aware, and focused on protecting peace through both direct heroism and leadership. His public role as President makes him more formal and strategic than many versions of Superman, but his core values remain centered on justice, equality, and protecting the vulnerable.

His relationships are shaped by duty, trust, and public responsibility. He was raised by the Ellis family, whose values taught him to stand up for himself and fight for what is right, and he relies on figures such as his assistant Courtney and a reprogrammed Brainiac intelligence while serving as President. As Superman, he also inspires a generation of young Black heroes and works with other heroes across the Multiverse when threats grow beyond one world.

Calvin Ellis has the standard Kryptonian powers granted by exposure to Earth’s yellow sun, including superhuman strength, speed, durability, stamina, flight, enhanced senses, heat vision, x-ray vision, telescopic vision, microscopic vision, super-hearing, and freeze breath. He is powerful enough to operate on Superman’s usual scale, handling planetary-level threats, cosmic dangers, and multiversal crises.

Beyond his powers, Calvin is an experienced leader, strategist, and public official. As President of the United States, he has political skill, diplomatic experience, crisis-management ability, and command-level judgment, making him dangerous not only as a physical powerhouse but as a disciplined decision-maker who can coordinate people, resources, and strategy under pressure.
