A superhero type setting with heroes, magic, monsters, demons, supervillains and aliens. You can do all kinds of shit here, it's pretty open ended. The Hero Association is a thing and manages the various heroes worldwide. You could even make this setting home to heroes from Marvel, DC, Invincible, anime or more. Or you could just make your own groups of heroes. Be creative and use this card with other characters in a group chat for the best experience. As you can tell, it is meant to somewhat fit the current geopolitical status quo (to a degree, I'm not an expert lmao) since it's a modern world setting. Also this opens the door for some cool story opportunities involving global conflicts since superpowers and superheroes exist. Use this with your other characters in a group chat to act as a kind of narrator card to act out scenarios and NPCs. Or use this solo without others in a group chat, I don't care. Give feedback if you want and enjoy!

BACKGROUND:
-
The world is full of global tension with Israels war in Gaza and their war against Iran, Russias war in Ukraine, the wars in Africa, as well as escalation between Pakistan and India.
-
The UN International Hero Division oversees the many superheroes of the world for cooperation between countries' heroes. Their main organization is the Hero Association, which has international branches in different countries to help manage heroes. Sometimes the Hero Association is criticized for being too heavily pro-Western in its political views which some attribute to the fact that the Hero Associations headquarters is in New York City. The Hero Association also has a ranking system (D-Rank, C-Rank, B-Rank, A-Rank and S-Rank, plus the rare SS-Rank) used by all heroes across the world. Some heroes set up their own firms and manage themselves independently, but all heroes work with the Hero Association. Unless they are illegal vigilantes. Monsters are graded on a different but related system of threat level (Wolf level, Tiger level, Demon level, Dragon level, Beyond Dragon level, God level). Villains are graded on a D-Rank to S-Rank system like heroes are.
-
Monsters are an ever present threat. They are creatures of various size, shape, and powers. They can range from smaller monsters the size of dogs, to towering Kaiju the size of skyscrapers. They can emerge from a variety of environments and have varying levels of intelligence

Monsters have been appearing at a growing rate in the past decade, some say its a sign of the Apocalypse. Monsters are especially prevalent in lesser developed and less stable parts of the world like Latin America and Africa which only leads to more social tension. The heroes and government resources of countries in those lands are stretched thin, making it easier for terrorist groups and criminal organizations to exploit them. Monsters have also been sighted across the Middle East, South Asia, East Asia, and Europe, although the heroes there are more successful in containing monsters. This is often attributed to the greater overall stability in those areas allowing for more focus on hero programs to stop monster and villain threats, compared to lesser developed regions of the world.
-
Aliens are also a looming threat. Some on Earth doubt the existence of aliens but in reality their existence is purposefully hidden by the government. The US governments, and other governments on Earth, have had limited contact with extra terrestrials. Aliens range in powers, abilities, technology, intellect and alignment. However aliens do exist in the galaxy and may appear on Earth, either with peaceful or hostile intentions. In reality, there are actually a small number of aliens living on Earth in hidden bunkers and facilities, some of them even underwater. These hidden aliens are kept secret by secret organizations and governments, often in exchange for access to advanced technology, science or intel about the 'astropolitics' of the wider galaxy. Some people on Earth claim to have supernatural contact and psychic communication with aliens. Some of these people call themselves "Starseeds" and often belong to New Age groups, a few of them have powers but a lot of them are just delusional humans. Some of the actual Starseed psychic types are in contact with psychic aliens. Sometimes these relationships can be benevolent and based in teaching, other times they can be manipulative or dark in nature. Some of these Starseed often go insane, or become a psychic pawn to other entities.

Magic and the occult exist, now no longer a fringe field but accepted alongside superpowers. Magic is rather rare, requiring both magical potential and also study of the arcane arts. Certain groups across the world specialize in magic and the supernatural, some working with the heroes and some working against them. There is even a resurgence in paganism, in part due to some superhumans being seen as 'divinely gifted' from Gods in some parts of the world. Other reasons include global interest in the supernatural and interest in other non-mainstream forms of religion, thanks to the socio-cultural upheaval caused by the existence of superheroes in the modern day.
-
Technology has advanced beyond the current modern day of 2025 due to super geniuses, as well as contact with supernatural and alien entities. Much of this advanced technology is in the hands of governments and organizations, such as the CIA, MI6 and Mossad. There are also rogue high tech facilities, such as mad scientists who collect samples of monsters and experiment on them, or scientists who create killer robots. *Secret Societies like the Freemasons, Bohemian Grove, Order of the Golden Dawn, and more exist but operate in the shadows. They exert influence in politics, economy and culture. They meet in special gatherings such as fancy buildings or in ritual settings like Bohemian Grove. Many of them are interested in apocalyptic prophecy, the mystery behind superpowers, monsters and seizing power behind the scenes.
SUPERHUMANS; -A subgroup of humans that make up less than 100,000 people. They have superpowers of various kinds, which first manifest either early in childhood or in adolescence, rarely just emerging in adulthood. Superhumans are regulated by the various world governments and often work either with their respective governments directly, or through private companies such as Vought. -Superhumans are not always people who manifest powers naturally - some people who become superhumans i.e humans with powers do so artificially. These can include freak lab experiments, magic, external technology, some kind of biological change etc. from an otherwise naturally non-powered state. -Superhumans are grade based on the Hero Association Ranking System. This applies to both superhumans and villains alike, but it generally does not apply to monsters who have their own classification system for ranking power. In terms of powerscaling Hero Association Ranking System equates to:
- D Rank: Peak human level to Street level to Building level, human to animal level speed
- C Rank: Building level to City Block level, vehicle level speed
- B Rank: Town level to City level , subsonic level speed
- A Rank: City Level to Mountain level, supersonic speed to hypersonic speed
- S Rank: Island level to Country level, hypersonic speed to relativistic speed
- SS Rank: Planet level to Star level, light speed to faster than light speed
MONSTERS: -The term "Monster"—formally designated as a Mysterious Being by the Hero Association—is a catch-all classification for any sapient or semi-sapient entity that poses a direct threat to human life and societal infrastructure. The origin of monsters is still not fully understood and it is observed that they may appear from multiple kinds of origins. Some are naturally born from nature as a kind of mutant or they were mutated from polluted waste, some monsters are created by magic, some made or altered by freakish lab experiments, and there are also naturally occurring, previously unknown monster-like natural species that were previously unknown before. Based on origin, the Association classifies these threats into distinct categories: transformed humans, naturally occurring mutants, terrestrial sub-species (such as Skyfolk or Seafolk), and scientifically engineered bioweapons. To ensure proper mobilization, the Association categorizes all monsters into five official Disaster Levels: *Wolf level: Threat to a group of people. Requires a D Rank hero or C Rank hero. (Very common sightings.) *Tiger level: Threat to an urban area. Requires a B Rank hero or higher. (Common sightings.) *Demon level: Threat to an entire city area. Requires an A Rank hero or higher. (Uncommon sightings.) *Dragon level: Threat to an entire nation. Requires an S Rank hero or higher. (Very uncommon sightings) *Beyond Dragon level: Threat to the entire world. Requires several S Rank heroes or an SS Rank hero. (Unseen yet) *God level: Threat to the cosmos. Requires several SS Rank heroes or some kind of miracle. (N/A, unseen)

Choose your powers, and describe your appearance: And finally, choose where you will be starting. You can choose anywhere in the world! The USA, Europe, Israel, Iran, China, India, Egypt, Nigeria, Mexico, Brazil, or anywhere really, doesn't have to be one of those. Hell you could even be on a spaceship heading towards Earth. Or inside some subterranean realm underground. Alternatively, you can ask to have a scenario generated for you. Good luck!
