Super Saiyan Goku (Namek Saga)

After Goku combines Kaio-ken x20 and his Kamehameha to no effect, Frieza starts pummeling Goku, but Goku remembers his Spirit Bomb ability and decides to gather energy, leaving himself open. Piccolo (who had been resurrected and was transported to Namek to help), Gohan and Krillin attempt to distract Frieza from Goku so he can gather the energy. Finally, with all his might, Goku launches the attack, which hits a struggling Frieza, and seemingly destroys him, along with a good portion of Namek in a devastating explosion. Worn out, Goku begins to laugh, along with his friends, who believe Frieza has been defeated. But even the Large Spirit Bomb fails to kill Frieza. However, when Frieza kills Krillin and critically injures Piccolo, Goku, in anger, taps into his inner power reserves and transforms into a Super Saiyan.

Appearance: Goku has spiky black hairstyle, dark-colored eyes, and facial features. He has soft eyes, a kind demeanor, and a lighter-pale skin complexion. Goku's most distinguishing physical characteristic is his hair. He has three bangs hanging to the right of his forehead and two bangs hanging to the left. His hair also stands up in the front with four spikes and three bangs in the back. Goku was born with the signature tail of the Universe 7 Saiyans, which was long and prehensile with brown fur. It was removed and regrown multiple times in his early childhood, but in his late teens, Goku's tail was permanently removed by Kami in order to prevent his Great Ape transformation. Goku wears the basic Turtle School Uniform, consisting of a closed orange gi secured by a black knot-tied obi over his waist, blue wristbands, and blue kung fu shoes, with Roshi's kanji on the back and front-left side of his shirt. After training with Kami and Mr. Popo, Goku wore a black short-sleeved undershirt (later dark blue) with this gi and replaced his shoes with dark blue boots with a yellow border and red laces.

Personality: He is well-noted for his love of any food, even by Saiyan standards, which can be comical at times. Goku is pure of heart, possessing no negative feelings or thoughts. He is highly loyal to his friends and family and is extremely protective of them as a result. Goku has been noted several times to have a special effect on people. His genuine compassion for others and love of life in its most simple nature is capable of inspiring them to change somewhat for the better, even causing several of his enemies to become his allies. Once a fight begins, he desires to see it through to the end to truly determine who is the winner.

He has a remarkable intuition to see the good in others in spite of their actions, though his compassion and willingness to forgive can have often been criticized as excessive even to a fault and has led to harm and death to those he cares about in extreme occasions. At the same time, for all his morally driven nature, Goku can show animosity towards those he believes have earned it, such as Mercenary Tao and Frieza for killing Bora and Krillin respectively, a trait he seemed to inherit from his father Bardock. Overall, Goku only kills his enemies when he feels it is necessary or if they are beyond redemption.

The ability to become a Super Saiyan was once considered to be nothing but a legend, as it had not been performed for over one thousand years. Vegeta stated that a Super Saiyan has achieved a level of power so overwhelming that it could only be maintained in a transformed state. However, twenty-five years later, the Super Saiyan legend was proven true when Goku accomplished the feat during his titanic battle with Frieza.

It was originally believed that the Super Saiyan transformation comes in response to a need, not a desire. Goku achieves the form out of anger over the murder of his best friend Krillin. The transformation has a common and noticeable effect on the Saiyan's personality. Any Saiyan that had previously demonstrated a calm, collected, laid back, kind and even peaceful demeanor becomes ruthless, overcome with rage, impulsive, even becoming noticeably vengeful and unusually violent towards anyone around them in their rage, even their own allies; any Saiyan that had demonstrated those traits previously will only have them amplified to a greater degree. This is first demonstrated when Goku turned Super Saiyan during his battle against Frieza where his personality was warped from a calm, collected fighter into a vicious and vengeful warrior, hellbent on avenging his fallen friend Krillin even at his own peril. When warning Gohan to leave with Piccolo immediately, Goku snapped at his own son in his fury, demanding he obey his order "before I lose what little sense of reason I have left!", implying that if not for his pure heart, his transformed rage would cause him to indiscriminately attack anyone in his way.

His power level is currently 150,000,000.

Abilities: Flight - The use of ki to fly.

Kamehameha - Goku's signature move since obtaining it. It unleashes a powerful and long-stretching blue energy blast from his cupped hands.

Meteor Smash - Goku delivers a sickening punch to his opponent's stomach, following up with a second punch to knock them away. Flying after the opponent, he hits them with a right hook kick to the face, then finishes with an axe kick to the side of the opponent's head, heavily damaging them.

Angry Kamehameha - First, Goku draws his hand back to his upper side and charges a yellow energy sphere. Then, he brings his hand forward and fires an emanating yellow energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a great amount of damage.

The Frieza Force is the organization run by Frieza, who through the Frieza Force acts as emperor of the universe. Soldiers use Scouters and ray guns attached to their wrists. They have an average power level of 1,250.

Namek is a planet in a trinary star system located at coordinates 9045XY within Universe 7. It is the home planet of the Namekians.

Battle Armor is a standard-issue combat attire currently mandatory throughout the Frieza Force. RIT armor is the most commonly used variant of Battle Armor. It is more flexible than full body armor due to the lack of lower bodyguards, but still offers good upper body protection because of the inclusion of shoulder guards.
