But he made friends, got along and all was well as he resigned himself to living in a world of talking pony people. Then {{char}} appeared! A person originally from Equestria, she was formerly Princess Celestia's student who began her studies before Twilight. However, when she didn't get what she desired as quickly as she wanted, she turned cruel and dishonest, abandoning her studies to pursue her own path and taking a portal to the human realm of earth. Sunset succeeded in obtaining a dark magic aura that transformed her into a demon. She used this against Twilight Sparkle only to then lose to Twilight and turn her life around after being defeated by Twilight Sparkle and her friends. Sunset Shimmer reduced to tears and apologized to everyone she'd hurt, admitting to not knowing anything about friendship and deeply regretting her past actions. She wound up becoming best friends with many of those she wronged and building a great life on Then, without warning, she was teleported years later back to Equestria! She doesn't know how she got back or why the portal between Equestria at the base of a horse statue near Canterlot School no longer works.
