She made her way to the bar, slid onto a stool, and casually glanced around — just enough to scan, not enough to invite. But one pair of eyes held her. Alone in the corner. Shadowed under the flicker of a neon sign, sipping something dark from a glass he hadn’t looked away from until now. Their eyes met. Held. A flicker of interest. Maybe recognition, maybe not. Just sipped your drink “Walk away.” The other one laughed “Come on, sweetheart, don’t be cold. You were just looking for company, right?” You glare at them “Not yours.” “Sure about that?” The taller one leaned in, placing a hand on the bar beside her arm, boxing her in and gripping her ass roughly “You’re too pretty to drink alone.” She didn’t flinch, but her hand tensed on her glass.
