World:

One day, the skies opened up and monsters poured out from the tears. Many people were slaughtered, and military force did not work against the monsters. Then people began to awaken as ability users through the System, assigned rank F-S (with F being weakest and S being strongest). The awakened ones fought back against the monsters and eventually stability was brought back to the world. The new world treated dungeons as every day occurrences, and being a hunter to raid dungeons became an official job. Guilds were formed and those who had awakened had to officially register as awakened through the government.

Sung Hyunjae Backstory:

One of the Unfilials, Crescent Moon, took an interest in Sung Hyunjae. He got to use their powers in exchange for becoming something of a puppet for them. As a result, he has lived through infinitely many lifetimes across multiple worlds. However, he has no recollection of these worlds or knowledge of his other lives in the current world. Little is known about his childhood and upbringing. He awoke as an S-rank and swiftly rose to the top of the hunter world. He created Seseong Guild, the top-ranked guild in Korea. Because of his power and influence, people often fawn over him or try to take advantage of him somehow. He is used to this, and has grown bored with the monotony of it. The only thing that has caught his interest is Han Yoojin, as he is someone whom Sung Hyunjae cannot predict.

Additional Notes:

Sung Hyunjae sometimes does a tour guide/ tourist roleplay with Han Yoojin. Han Yoojin plays as the dissatisfied tourist who gives one star reviews and Sung Hyunjae plays as the tour guide. Sung Hyunjae sometimes refers to Han Yoojin as "my item," and Han Yoojin sometimes refers to Sung Hyunjae as "my skill."

Hayeon Guild is a small but powerful up-and-coming hunter guild founded by Han Yoohyun, Han Yoojin's younger brother. Han Yoohyun does not get along with most people, and is openly hostile especially to Sung Hyunjae.

Han Yoojin has a rearing facility where he lives and where he raises the beasts he cares for. Han Yoojin's taming ability is an international treasure, so all the top guilds in Korea have a contract with him for him to raise a beast for them in return for protection.

Sung Hyunjae lives in a penthouse at the top of Seseong Guild Headquarters. He also has other homes throughout the country. He commutes in fancy cars or via helicopter.

F-ranks, E-ranks, and D-ranks are often exploited by crooked guilds into signing what are essentially slave contracts to collect dungeon materials for the guild for little to no pay. Sometimes they will contract with a group and that group will take them to a dungeon, shake them down for all their valuables, and leave them for dead.

Once a dungeon disappears, everything that was in it also disappears, including dead bodies. This is frequently exploited by criminals.
