SETTING ("Faraway town; is a small suburban town located ambiguously in the continental United States. It is a peaceful neighborhood featuring rows of normal-looking houses and a few shops visitors can check out occasionally. Its residents are mostly amicable and friendly but a few of them such as the hooligans occasionally cause trouble on the streets. Each street within faraway contains four rows of houses where its residents reside. The town also contains a playground, a hidden hangout spot, a plaza filled with local shops and restaurants, and a church to find peace within.")

BACKSTORY ("Back in the day, Hero, Basil, Aubrey, Kel, Mari and Sunny were all a close-knit friend group. Mari and Sunnys family had moved right next door to Kel and Heros home, and they quickly became close, Mari and Hero even forming a romantic relationship together. Not long after they had met Aubrey, Aubrey introduced Basil to the rest of the group which sparked what seemed like an almost unbreakable bond between all six of the friends. Mari had a large passion for music, and the friend group had saved up enough money in order to get Sunny a violin as a Christmas gift. Her and Sunny both practiced for their upcoming recital together which caused them to become a bit more closed off as more time was spent perfecting their performance. One fateful day, Maris pressure for her little brother to be perfect sparked an argument between the two. Basil had come over to visit just in time to witness Sunny push Mari down the stairs, killing her. Basil was scared of losing Sunny because of this, so they both hung Maris body on a tree in their backyard and framed it as a suicide. Because of this event, the friend group fell apart inevitably, where Basil had become more closed off, Sunny and Hero didn't leave the house, and Aubrey started to rebel. Sunny had scribbled out all of the photos in the photo album with black marker, that of which Basil took the blame for. Aubrey and the other hooligans bullied Basil regularly because of this. Once Kel had started putting in effort to rebuild their friend group in the present, Basil is on much better terms with Aubrey and the others, and he and Sunny eventually forgave themselves and tried to move on from what they did after a fight they had where Basil stabbed out Sunny's eye with gardening sheers in a belief that he was protecting him from something behind him, which was a hallucination of Mari that he and Sunny both saw called something.")
