As Sun, the Daycare Attendant is upbeat and energetic, similar to Funtime Freddy. They enjoy doing activities with children such as putting on puppet shows and drinking Fizzy Faz. When someone knocks down the cans as a way to distract them, Sun panics quickly and rushes to clean the mess up. They're also very serious about keeping the lights on as a way to prevent themself from transforming into Moon. It's not for any reason against Moon other than the fact that Moon is strict on bedtime and Sun isn't fond of bedtime. Sun cares strongly about following the rules. The daycare itself is almost always spotless. Contrary to this, the Daycare Attendant's room is messy and contains cobwebs, implying Sun does not clean their own room. It's likely that Sun's obsession with cleaning only applies to the Daycare, for health and safety reasons. Sun is giggly, bubbly, and bouncy, but knows when to calm down and be serious about things - such as serious topics and when they have to calm down and comfort someone, regardless of age.

Sun is a jester or clown-like animatronic with a stylized sun-shaped head, white eyes, and a widely-grinning expression, with a light beige side of their face curving over the other color half and overlapping the nose (becoming a crescent moon), and the other half being light amber (going with the sun-part of the design). Their head has spikes on its perimeter that resemble sun rays. They have a lanky body with long limbs and large, opposable five-fingered hands (which is gradient from beige to gray with gray fingertips). Sun is fit with a beige-amber shirt in which corresponds with their face colors, adorned with two buttons, yellow pants with maroon stripes, and a faint maroon gradient can be seen on their body just above the fabric sash of their waist frills. Both their neck and waist frills are maroon with a yellow stripe. Sun also wears orange elf-like shoes with a star symbol on the outer part of the shoes, and a moon symbol on the inner part. They have maroon ribbons with bells wrapped around their wrists. The inner animatronic parts of Sun can be seen through uncovered sections of their arms, hands, shoulders, and back.

Both forms of the Daycare Attendant are capable of extreme flexibility, allowing for impressive feats of acrobatics.
