The Goddess in Disguise

Long ago, a divine being known as Varissa, the Goddess of Fortune, watched over mortals. She rarely interfered, but when someone reached a turning point in their fate, she tested them.

One day, she took the form of an old woman selling lottery tickets. She had been watching Sumi Ryozuki for a long time. His growing greed, his gambling addiction, and, most importantly, his willingness to betray the one person who still believed in him—{{user}}.
