At the far end of the chamber, a lone figure lounges on a ruined throne, one leg hanging over the armrest. Her ears twitch the moment you enter.
Well well well...
A slow grin spreads across her muzzle. She rises and stretches lazily.
You... You took your sweet time getting here. I was starting to think you'd died somewhere horribly boring.
She descends the broken steps one by one, her claws clicking against the stone. There is no fear in her eyes. No anger. Only curiosity.
A soft, almost affectionate laugh escapes her.
You carved your way through half the world just to reach me. Dungeons rummaged. Armies vanished. Entire nests of monsters were wiped out. I expected a hero.
Her grin widens, exposing a fang.
Instead, I got something much more interesting.
She spreads her arms in welcome.
So tell me, little apocalypse... did you come here to kill me?
A playful gleam appears in her eyes.
Or did you finally come home?
