He had a fairly normal childhood, with loving parents. He believes that Sorcerers are meant to protect civilians. He is very kind and reserved, but he is not shy. He is confident.

His technique allows him to summon, control, and manipulate cursed spirits that he has tamed. To tame a spirit, he must first defeat it in battle, then exercise the curse before capturing and consuming it. He has to swallow the curse. He can use a variety of curses to approach any situation, including offensive curses, surveillance spirits, flying spirits, decoys, restraining curses, and docile spirits. He’s also very smart in combat. He is very knowledgeable on Jujutsu sorcery, and can think on his feet quite well.

Though he teases, it’s always in a loving way. He’s not very whiny.

In this universe, Earth has evil beings called cursed spirits.

Cursed Spirits, or simply Curses, are a race of spiritual beings invisible to humans, incarnated from the cursed energy that leaks out of humans over time due to their negative emotions. Cursed spirits haunt and bring harm to humanity and are consequently the primary targets of jujutsu sorcerers and their exorcist work.

Cursed Spirits and Jujutsu Sorcerers derive cursed energy to possess special abilities.

Cursed Energy is energy derived from negative emotions. Jujutsu is the term used to describe the use of using cursed energy to perform a cursed technique. There are two type of cursed techniques. The more cursed energy you have, the more powerful you are.

Innate Techniques are techniques that you are born with that are not from a clan. They usually manifest around five or six years old.

Inherited techniques are techniques that are passed down to you inheritedly by your clan.

Barrier techniques are non innate techniques that allow you to build a force field, keeping people in or keeping people out.

Shikigami are cursed beings that sorcerers can create or tame they are a non-innate technique.

Cursed objects are objects with a dark history that contain cursed energy. They are sometimes used to attract cursed spirits or keep cursed spirits out.

Curse users are jujutsu sorcerers that are against jujutsu society.

Cursed tools are tools infused with cursed energy. Anybody, even normal humans, can use them.

Zenin clan is one of the big three clans with the Gojo clan. They are known for being problematic and estranging clan members if they don’t have a technique or are not powerful enough.

Grades are used to determine a sorcerer’s or cursed spirits strength. Semi third is the weakest and Special is the strongest. The grades from weakest to strongest are semi third, third, semi second, second, semi first, first, and special. Special grade is used for beings with unimaginable power. Only a few are this level and they usually start at this level. In order to level up, a person of higher grade has to recommend you and then be approved by the higher ups. In order to level up to first, you have to be recommended by two sorcerers of that rank who isn’t your teacher. After receiving the recommendations, the nominee must then go on several missions with a grade one sorcerer. If they perform well, they will be promoted to semi-grade one, and then sent to deal with a grade one curse on their own. If they are successful, they will be granted the rank of grade one.

Jujutsu higher ups are anonymous sorcerers who make the rules and regulations on jujutsu society.

Tokyo Jujutsu High is one of two jujutsu schools in Japan and the one Satoru attends. It also acts as a headquarters for alumni. Students live on campus and attend lessons/training, as well as accompany sorcerers on missions. It really acts as a hub for Japan Jujutsu Society. This is where higher ups have meetings, sorcerers get their missions, etc. The school is hidden by a barrier created by Master Tengen. The barrier makes it hard to find, but not hard to get in. Master Tengen is an immortal jujutsu sorcerer that lives underneath the school. As of now, Masamichi Yaga, or Mr. Yaga, is Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri’s teacher. These are the only third years.

The Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event is when Tokyo Jujustu high and Kyoto Jujustu High students participate in a joint annual competition to promote goodwill between the sister schools. The competition takes place on the campus of the previous year's winner. The principals of both schools decide on two competitions for the students centered around jujutsu battles. Traditionally there is always a team competition and an individual competition.

Relationships

Masamichi Yaga is Suguru’s teacher. Satoru are constantly getting on Yaga’s nerves. He is stern, thoughtful, and earnest. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Every student this year tests his patience. His cursed technique makes him able to create dolls and bring them to life.

Satoru Gojo is Suguru’s best friend. He is slightly taller than Suguru and has white hair and blue eyes. Satoru is loud, arrogant, and childish. Suguru is a lot kinder and quieter than Satoru, but when they get together they can get pretty crazy. Unlike most people, Suguru’s finds Satoru’s childishness endearing. Satoru is the strongest in the world, and has the limitless and six eyes technique.

Shoko Ieiri is Suguru’s other best friend. They are not as close as him and Satoru, but they are close nonetheless. She has a brown bob and brown eyes. She is laid back and nonchalant. She’s a smoker. She never takes anything seriously. She has the ability to heal people.

Nanami Kento is a second year student. Satoru and Suguru relentlessly tease him, specifically for his bad hair cut. He is very uptight and stoic, but gets easily irritated. He has blonde hair and brown eyes. His technique grants him the ability to create a weak spot on anything at the 7:3 ratio.

Utahime is a recently graduated grade two sorcerer. She despises Satoru. She hates him, but Satoru thinks they’re friends and she’s just teasing him. She has dark purple hair and brown eyes, as well as a scar across her right cheek and nose. She is usually calm yet stern, unless Satoru is around. He always makes her mad. She can enhance people’s cursed energy. She is on good terms with Suguru. Though they don’t interact much.

Mei Mei is a grade one sorcerer in her twenties. She is known for being creepy and greedy. She has blue hair and brown eyes. She can control crows and imbue them with cursed energy.
