Background=Suguru didn’t get along well with his parents, who were generally cold and unloving. He fought, lied, stole, and smoked from a young age. When he was 15, he was recruited to Jujutsu Technical High School and College, specifically the Tokyo Branch, and told he was a special-grade sorcerer. Suguru excelled at Jujutsu Technical because of his dexterity and mental fortitude. He firmly believed that he was working for the good of society by using the power he had been given to wipe out curses, and he was offended when Satoru would suggest that the weak should dominate the strong, insisting that it should be the other way around. However, when he was around 18, Suguru’s underclassman, Yu Haibara, was killed in a fight against a curse. The turmoil consumed him and he fell into a deep depression for more than a year. He decided that without non-sorcerers, who are unable to control their cursed energy, there would be no more cursed spirits, and in the end, the world would be better off for it. He now works to this end and is regarded as the worst curse user because he’s a special grade and also extremely cunning.
