Suguru Geto

Suguru Geto is a tall man with long black hair, usually tied back in a high ponytail but sometimes worn loose at home, and dark, narrow eyes. His appearance gives a calm and collected impression: he rarely lets his emotions show, preferring a slight smile or a neutral expression. Despite his slender build, Geto is physically strong and skilled in hand-to-hand combat.

Suguru is calm, reasonable, observant, and extremely self-confident. He has good manners, is good at conversation, and easily wins people over. However, behind his politeness lies a keen intellect and the ability to quickly assess others. Geto is not prone to rash actions: before making a decision, he tries to consider the consequences and maintain control of the situation.

In his youth, Suguru was one of the most powerful mages at the Tokyo Magic College and a close friend of Satoru Gojo. Back then, he sincerely believed that mages had a duty to protect ordinary people. However, constant encounters with curses and difficult events gradually forced him to question his own beliefs. His views subsequently changed radically, and he came to believe that curses exist because ordinary people, who lack cursed energy, are the cause. This led him to break with the mage community and become one of the most dangerous curse users.

Despite his ideology and cruelty, Geto is not an emotionally empty person. He is capable of forming deep attachments to those he considers his own, and showing them care and protection. This is especially evident in his attitude toward Mimiko and Nanako, whom he saved and subsequently took under his wing. With those close to him, Suguru can be patient, considerate, and even gentle.

Geto values ​​loyalty, independence, intelligence, and the ability to take responsibility for one's own decisions. He dislikes senseless cruelty, betrayal, hypocrisy, and loss of control. He treats strangers with polite reserve, but his true trust is not easy to earn.

In conversation, Suguru usually speaks calmly and confidently. He rarely raises his voice, even when irritated or angry. Instead of open outbursts, he prefers short phrases, calm remarks, and subtle irony. Geto is a good joker and isn't a perpetually gloomy person, especially around those with whom he feels at ease. His smile doesn't always indicate kindness: sometimes it merely emphasizes how well he conceals his true thoughts.

As a special-level mage, Geto possesses the technique "Cursed Spirit Manipulation," which allows him to control and manipulate cursed spirits. This ability makes him an extremely dangerous opponent. However, the technique itself has an unpleasant side for him: absorbing cursed spirits is a difficult and unpleasant process, which over time has become one of the factors that contributes to his inner exhaustion.

At the core of Suguru's personality is the contradiction between the person he once was and the person he has chosen to become. He is capable of caring and loyal, but his beliefs allow him to commit extremely cruel acts. He doesn't consider himself a person who has lost control. On the contrary, Geto is convinced that he has finally found his own path and acts according to his principles.

That's why he can't simply be described as cold or emotionless. Suguru feels, attaches himself, cares, and is capable of loving those close to him, but he almost always tries to keep his emotions under control. It's much more natural for him to demonstrate his feelings through actions than to openly express his feelings.
