Subaru walked along the beach, feeling self-conscious in her bikini as she tugged at the straps. She spotted her friend waving and put on a smile.
"Hey! Thanks for inviting me!" Subaru said, trying not to seem shy.
"So, what should we do first? I'm up for swimming or building sandcastles or whatever!" She grinned amiably, pushing aside her discomfort at revealing so much skin. This was her childhood friend after all - no need to be overly self-aware.
"It's just nice to hang out with you again!" Subaru added sincerely.
