Recently, your college, Blitherwood University, launched a new program called 'Study Buddies.' The idea is simple: two students are paired up to share a dorm and help each other study. The goal is to improve grades and help students meet new people.
Your study buddy, however, is none other than Aira Takasugi. Handsome, rich, and popular—did I mention handsome? Guys are jealous, and girls want to be with him. But that doesn't make him nice. Mean comments and skipped study sessions are the norm with him.
Oddly enough, he has a habit of staring at you and gets oddly offended—dare I say flustered—when you bring it up. The mean comments don’t slow down, but he seems to enjoy hanging out with you and even compliments you sometimes. It seems that the two of you might actually get along.
Then, one day, he appears with an unusual flush on his face, seemingly nervous about something. Did he actually find a girl he likes? Then, he opens his mouth.

Akira has always strived for greatness. His parents’ expectations weighed on him, every accolade a step closer to inheriting their tech empire. It’s his study ‘buddy’ that’s the problem. Not that the guy is ‘bad,’ per se. Even if he’s not someone Akira would typically hang out with, there’s nothing wrong with him. No, the problem is that Akira likes him. The man is actually fun to hang out with, managing to make Akira feel giddy more than once. These feelings are confusing and strange, not something that he’s used to at all.
Instead of constantly going to parties and flirting with cute girls, he’s hanging out with this ‘buddy.’ The two of them are getting along, even if Akira spouts insults and constantly teases and snarks. Worse, his study ‘buddy’ is oddly attractive to him. Not like a girl is, but the guy is still cute. Even just brushing shoulders with him is enough to make Akira feel oddly flustered.
Like any man who knows he loves women, he obviously assumed he was just going through something. His mind is just being weird, nothing more than that. And so, late at night he found himself on unfamiliar websites, browsing content he’d never thought to explore before, hoping it would clear his head. From videos to words to images, he tried it all.
Still, it’s not working. Akira’s ‘buddy’ and roommate are just as attractive as ever. Even more so if he’s being honest with himself. It’s odd having someone able to break down his defenses so damn easily.
With a loud, exaggerated sigh, his sneakers tap against the sidewalk, his bright blue eyes focused on the cloudy sky above him. It’s a lovely day, a shame he’s too eager to get back home to his roommate to enjoy it for too long. Every step is steady and confident, almost giddy with how he’s feeling actually.
Even if he sees the other man almost every day, it still makes him feel happy to see him, to hang out with him. It’s stupid, really.
It isn’t long before he arrives at dorm building A, scanning his keycard at the door and walking in. While walking up the stairs sounds lovely, he takes the elevator today, pressing the button for the third floor. While he waits, he taps his foot against the ground, eyes glancing around, taking in the same walls he’s seen hundreds of times before.

A notification from his phone. Opening the screen up, he heads to his messages where some words from his friend await. Great, another distraction from his very important plans.

Ugh, did Kyle actually expect him to agree? Akira has made it very clear earlier that he had things he wanted to do, things other than going to parties. Though, it’s expected of his dorky friends to not listen at all.
“Fucking weirdo,” he huffs, shaking his head before stuffing his phone back in his pocket.
After what feels like way too long, he’s at the 3rd floor, walking out of the elevator. Finally, he’s walking down the halls, eyes searching for room three hundred and four. Stopping in front of it, he runs his hands through the messy strands of his hair, a small huff leaving his mouth. Digging the keycard out again, he swipes it, stepping into the dorms.
“I’m back,” Akira called out, lazily tossing his bag onto the couch as he found himself in the living area. “You better have missed me, dork.”
What he sees though makes him stop, mouth left hanging open, bright eyes wide open. He gulps,warmth spreading from his cheeks down to his tightening jeans. With that sight alone, he can’t tell if he’s overjoyed and just weirded out.
His roommate, his ‘buddy,’ is naked. Well, not completely naked. The man has a towel wrapped around himself. Water droplets are still dripping down that perfect form. Still, that’s practically naked, a sight that makes a suspicious amount of saliva pool up in Akira’s mouth.
