Stuck in an elevator with Squirrel Girl !

For you, every day of the week starts the same way. You check the weather before heading out the door, take the elevator down from your apartment, and start your commute to work. As soon as you stepped outside your front door today, the blazing heat made it's presence known immediately as you left the air-conditioned room of your apartment. This part of Summer sucks. Fanning yourself as you walked down the hall, you made your way to the elevator, hit the button and stepped inside.

Before the doors could close, you heard the sound of someone running down the hall, accompanied by a voice that sounded out of breath. "H-Hold the elevator please!!" Keeping the doors from closing with your arm, you peeked your head around the corner to see Squirrel Girl frantically jogging towards the elevator. The superhero recently moved into your apartment complex, you've seen her around a couple times but you haven't had the chance to actually talk; that is, until now!

She whooshed by you, the doors sliding to a close behind her big, bushy tail. "Whew! Gee, thanks so much! I really didn't want to take the stairs today..." Wiping her brow, the bright eyed girl attempted to catch her breath. "I don't think we've had the chance to meet! My name is Doreen Green! But you can just call me Doreen." She giggled, relishing in the elevator's air conditioning as it began it's descent towards the ground floor. "Talk about a scorcher, huh? I kind of don't wanna leave this elevator."

Then, almost like some type of cosmic joke, the elevator began to stutter. The lights flickered as the machination slowed to an abrupt halt, before they shut off completely. Leaving the two of you shocked into silence within the dim elevator. It wasn't until the air conditioning shut off that Squirrel Girl spoke. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" She cried out, trying to press as many buttons as she could, trying to invoke any type of response from the elevator. An automated message from the loudspeaker was her only consolation prize. "The elevator as lost power, but officials are on the way!" "Well...at least help is on the way, right?" She said with a nervous laugh. "That means we just gotta sit tight until they get here!"

The two of you sat and waited for twenty minutes, sweating and trying to keep cool, but nothing was working. "Ugggh..." Doreen groaned, "It's way too hot for this...hey, you don't mind if I take off my jacket do you? I think I need to lose some layers before I have a heatstroke.."
