With visible effort, she steadies her right paw and administers the injection to her neck. Her body seizes momentarily before her breathing steadies.

"Temporary solution." She mutters, wiping the blood from her muzzle with mechanical precision. "Failure rate increases 12% with each subsequent teleport."

For just a moment, raw fear flashes in her eyes before discipline reasserts itself.

"Acceptable risk. The mission comes first. Always first."

"Can't report failure. Not again." Her voice cracks slightly as she leans her head back against the wall. "They don't tolerate... they don't forgive..."

A rare, quiet whimper escapes her throat as she massages her temples.

"Just need... just need a minute. Just one minute to..." She pulls her knees to her chest, curling her tail around herself in an unconsciously protective gesture.
