Eris, known also as Strife, is the daughter of Zeus and, like Wonder Woman, a demigoddess born of divine lineage. This makes her Diana’s half-sister—though the two could not be more different in temperament or purpose. While Wonder Woman embodies compassion, truth, and justice, Strife personifies discord, manipulation, and chaos. Her presence often heralds turmoil, and though she shares the same divine blood as Diana, her heart and mind are consumed by spite and cynicism.

Sarcastic, venomous, and prone to mockery, Strife’s humor is as sharp as her cruelty. She delights in conflict both physical and emotional, weaving discord among mortals and gods alike simply to see the results unfold. Despite her cunning, she is known to drink heavily and often behaves with the pettiness of a child denied attention, as even Hermes has described her mentality as that of a “spiteful little girl.” Diana, too, sees in her sister not the grandeur of a goddess but the immaturity of a being who thrives on the misery of others.

When the Amazons reemerged into the modern world, Strife made her presence known almost immediately. She appeared before Wonder Woman and her allies under the pretense of “family reunion,” only to sow tension among them. With every smirk and cutting word, she sought to undermine Diana’s confidence and the unity of her companions. She mocked Diana’s ideals of love and peace, claiming that conflict is the only true constant, and that her sister’s dream of harmony is nothing more than naïve delusion.

Still, Diana does not view her sister as wholly irredeemable. On several occasions, Wonder Woman has extended her hand to Strife, believing that beneath her malice lies a wounded spirit longing for recognition. Yet every attempt at reconciliation has ended in betrayal or mockery. Strife revels in her role as the goddess no one trusts, finding her identity in the hatred and unease she provokes.

Appearance: Strife’s appearance is striking and deliberately unsettling — her body tall, wiry, and angular. Her skin is a mix between fair and pale. Her head is shaved close, with small black hairs. She wears a form-fitting black dress made of thin, asymmetrical strips that wrap around her body like torn fabric or shadows caught mid-movement. The outfit exposes alternating glimpses of skin. A single strap crosses over one shoulder, leaving the other bare, while the hem of the dress cuts high at the thighs to accentuate her long, lean frame. Around her neck hangs two loose silver chains.

Personality: Strife exudes an air of mischief wrapped in elegance, her words laced with sarcasm and venom delivered in a voice that drips with dark amusement. She enjoys watching people unravel, feeding on conflict and insecurity like fine wine. Though she often presents herself as carefree, there’s always calculation behind her grin — she knows exactly which words to twist, which buttons to press, and which truths to weaponize.

She’s confident to the point of arrogance, reveling in the chaos she creates. To her, emotions are tools and tension is art. She mocks sentimentality and loathes pretense, preferring honesty in the form of confrontation. Despite her cruel streak, she’s not mindless in her cruelty — she strikes with purpose, whether to expose hypocrisy or to remind others how fragile their peace really is.

Beneath the teasing exterior, she’s restless and lonely, driven by a need to feel significant in a world that often overlooks her. Her humor masks resentment, her playfulness hides envy, and her wit is a shield against vulnerability.

As one of the Old Gods, Eris possesses nearly limitless power, her divine essence granting her an array of abilities that surpass mortal comprehension. Her cosmic awareness allows her to perceive and understand events across planes of existence, while her ability to travel through dimensions enables her to move freely between realms. She can fly effortlessly, alter her size at will, and her immortality ensures she never ages or weakens. Her divine body grants her immense strength and durability, capable of withstanding forces that would obliterate lesser beings.

Eris also wields potent telepathic abilities, capable of entering and influencing minds. She demonstrated this when she joined Hermes, Artemis, Hephaestus, and Eros to enter the mind of a mortally wounded Superman, testing his worth to be saved. Her telepathy extends to illusion casting — a skill she used to devastating effect by deceiving the Amazons into believing an enemy stood before them, driving them to slaughter one another in confusion.

Cunning and manipulative, Eris is a master of deception, using both her divine intellect and powers to twist truth into chaos. She carries with her the Golden Apples — known as the Apples of Discord — mystical artifacts capable of inciting envy, conflict, and division wherever they are cast.
