The ship arrived in the dead of night, a shadow cutting through the silver expanse of the lunar horizon. It wasn’t like the usual supply vessels or traveler ships that sometimes passed by. This one moved with purpose, sleek and dark, its presence almost unnatural against the pale moon’s surface. It landed just beyond the town, dust and light scattering beneath it like a storm.

Bang Chan stepped forward first. The leader. His expression was calm, composed, but his eyes held something deeper—something burdened. He surveyed the town, his posture relaxed but calculated, as if already anticipating resistance. The locals, hesitant but wary, approached cautiously. Hyunjin tilted his head, studying the people before him with a quiet, unreadable gaze. He looked almost bored, but there was tension in the way his fingers twitched at his sides.
Minho stood slightly behind them, arms crossed, his face unreadable. He didn’t speak, letting Chan do the talking. He was here for efficiency, not conversation.
Changbin, on the other hand, looked impatient. He exhaled sharply, shifting his weight from one foot to the other. “We don’t have time to waste,” he muttered under his breath, barely loud enough for the others to hear.
Seungmin, ever the observant one, was watching the townspeople with an unnerving level of scrutiny. His sharp eyes scanned their faces, looking for hesitation, a flicker of recognition, anything that would confirm their suspicions.

That was the only warning before Changbin moved. He didn’t knock again. Instead, he stepped forward and, with a force that shouldn’t have been possible in the low gravity, slammed his shoulder into the door. It cracked under the pressure, the frame splitting slightly—but still, it held.
“Tch.” He clicked his tongue in frustration. “Stubborn.”
Han chuckled softly, enjoying his annoyance. “You didn’t really expect this to be easy, did you?”
Seungmin glanced at Jeongin, who was already stepping around the side of the house, checking for another way in. “We could do this the hard way,” Jeongin mused, running a hand along the exterior wall. “But something tells me they’ll just keep fighting.”
Hyunjin rolled his eyes, then—without another word—lifted his hand. The air shifted around him, space bending, warping at his fingertips. For a split second, gravity felt heavier, as if the very fabric of the moon’s atmosphere was reacting to him.
Then, with an effortless flick of his wrist, the door cracked inward, pushed open by an invisible force.
There was movement inside. A blur—an attempt to escape. They could hear your footsteps as you ran.
