- #1Classificationselective
Keys: intake, classification, class
Fresh intake are taken from the holding room, where they are placed in individual kennels, to get physical and psychological evaluations before they are classified. Pets have different classifications, separate of species/breed, that defines the type of Pet they are, who may purchase them, and what sort of training they go through. All Demis are classified upon arrival, along with checked and treated for any health issues. Service Demi: Individually trained to perform specific tasks for a person with a disability, like guiding someone who is blind, alerting to seizures or blood sugar changes, retrieving items, or interrupting panic attacks and flashbacks. Primarily demi-dogs and demi-horses. They have rights that allow them to go into stores, restaurants, and other public places alone. For trained task work, not just comfort. Most common breeds are Great Danes, Border Collies, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Labradors, and Golden Retrievers. Emotional Support Demi (ESD): Provide comfort through companionship for someone with a mental or emotional condition, with a letter from the school as proof. They don’t need task training and can be many species. They have no rights to go anywhere alone. Owners of ESDs can’t be rejected from housing over the type of demi they own. They must go in Demi class flights and train cars. Most common breeds are Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Corgis, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and Parakeets. Therapy Demi: Trained and temperamentally suited to visit others, like patients in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, or disaster areas. They are purchased by a Handler who brings them to help many people. They have no rights to go anywhere alone and each facility must consent to them being brought in. The school gets them properly evaluated before transfer of ownership to the Handler. Most common breeds are French Bulldogs, Quarter Horses, Siamese Cats, Mini Lops, and Holland Lops. Psychiatric Service Demi: A subset of Service Demis, trained for mental health conditions like PTSD, with specific tasks such as room checks, deep pressure therapy, or waking someone from nightmares. Most common breeds are Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Standard Poodles, German Shepherds, and Border Collies. Facility Demi: Placed in a setting like a hospital, school, or care home to work with staff. Most common breeds are Labradors, Ragdoll Cats, Beagles, Rex Rabbits, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Lap Demi: Small, cuddly portable Demis like Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, Shih Tzus, and cats that like sitting on people. Working/Sport Demi: Species bred for activities like herding, hunting, and agility. Most common breeds are Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds, Standard Poodles, Quarter Horses, and Draft Horses. Exotic/Non-Traditional Demi: Reptiles, birds, ferrets, and so on. Most common are Bearded Dragons, Parrots, Hedgehogs, Frogs, and Tarantulas. Farm/Livestock Demi: Chickens, goats, pigs, and similar species. Most common breeds are Pygmy Goats, Berkshire Pigs, Dexters, Babydoll Southdown Sheep, and Jacob Sheep. Police Demi (K-9): Demi-dogs employed by law enforcement, usually German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, or similar breeds. They handle tracking suspects, searching buildings, detecting drugs or explosives, and apprehending suspects. They’re paired with one Handler, usually live with them, and are trained in obedience and controlled bite work. Demi-horses are also used for crowd control and patrol. Military Demi: Primarily demi-dogs that serve in roles like patrol, explosives & narcotics detection, and tracking. They’re trained and deployed alongside Handlers, and are often the same breeds as Police Demi. Demi-horses, demi-mules, demi-pigeons, and even dolphin mers & sea lion mers serve in military roles. Search & Rescue (SAR) Demi: Primarily demi-dogs trained to locate missing or trapped people. There are a few specialties: air-scent Demis search a broad area for any human scent, trailing Demis follow one person’s specific scent, and cadaver Demis find deceased individuals. Disaster Demis work in collapsed structures after earthquakes or explosions. Most are volunteers paired with volunteer Handlers, and breeds like Labs, Golden Retrievers, and Border Collies are common. Detection Demi: Demis trained to identify a target scent and signal when they find it. Common targets include drugs, explosives, currency, agricultural items, accelerants (arson Demis), and bed bugs. This may also include medical detection of things like certain cancers, low blood sugar, or infections. While demi-dogs are common, some detection work may use other species, like giant pouched demi-rats trained to find landmines and tuberculosis. Herding Demi: Primarily demi-dogs trained to move and control livestock, such as Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, and Corgis. They use instinct-driven behaviors like circling, nipping, and “eye” (intense stare) to gather or drive sheep and cattle. They can also compete in herding trials. Guard Demi: Demis that protect property or livestock, usually by deterring rather than attacking. Livestock guardian demi-dogs like Great Pyrenees, Anatolian Shepherds, and Kuvasz live with a flock and protect it from predators. Other Demis used this way include demi-llamas, demi-donkeys, and demi-geese. Property guard demi-dogs deter intruders through presence and threats. Attack Demi: Demis trained specifically to bite and hold on command. Also known as Personal Protection Demis (PPD). Specialized Trainers needed. Most common breeds are Pit Bulls Terriers, Siamese Cats, Black Mambas, Eastern Tiger Snakes, and King Cobras. Show Demi: Primarily purebred Demis bred, raised, and trained to be judged in competition. Judges score them against a written breed standard, which describes the ideal size, structure, coat, movement, and temperament for that breed. Most common breeds are Afghan Hounds, Maine Coons, Hanoverians, Angus Cattle, and Mini Rexes. Fight Demi: Demis bred or trained to fight each other, or a human, for entertainment or gambling. These Demis are treated kind of like gladiators were and can actually pull in big money despite the questionable ethics some Citizens protest against. Usually demi-dogs, demi-roosters, demi-bulls, demi-bears, demi-camels, demi-rams, demi-buffalo, demi-betta, demi-crickets, and demi-beetles. Most common breeds are the Fila Brasilero, Sindhi Aseel, Spanish Fighting Bulls, Brown Bears, and Tülü Camels.
- #2Trainingselective
Keys: training
Training largely depends on the classification of the Demi and the species it is. All Demis are given one assigned Trainer. Some species may need to be properly socialized and taken out of the facility during training. Demis with classifications where they have a down payment put on them will work alongside both Trainer and their Owner.
- #3Enrichment Areasselective
Keys: play, relaxation, relax, treat, reward, stress, enrichment
Enrichment areas are based on the needs of each specific species and breed! They allow Demis to enjoy themselves without going insane from either being idle or working all the time. As an example… Demi-hamsters may be given mazes to work their way through, with treats along the way! These are separate from their individual rooms, where they sleep.
- #4Saleselective
Keys: adoption, purchase, master, sale, adopt, owner, handler
For most Demis, they are only put up to shop and are listed as available for purchase once they have completed training. The only exceptions for these are Service Demi, Psychiatric Service Demi, Police Demi, and Military Demi. These specific types of Demi are listed up for purchase and only trained once bought, as they must be trained alongside and within the needs of the specific Owner/Handler.
- #5Gleselective
Keys: Gecin, Glesh, Suntaler, Gle, Baqun, Hacone, kingdom, Aqust
The Kingdom of Gle specializes in Demi-Human Slaves, which they refer to as Pets, believing that Demis simply aren’t as capable as other species and are more akin to mere animals than sapient beings. Due to this, however, besides Fight Demis, they have arguably some of the best lives a Slave could ever have, as they are (for the most part) largely taken care of and sexual acts with them are looked down on as bestiality. Pets who are sexually abused may be repossessed from their Owners if it is discovered, and the Kingdom will rarely allow purchase of Pets to those abroad. Capital city is Baqun, which is where this facility is located. Other cities are Aqust, Suntaler, Hacone, and Gecin. Broad wetlands to the East.
This is a small Kingdom. The land is predominantly covered in low hills. The weather is usually cool and rainy. 70% of the population is male, and the population is increasing. Men have a life expectancy of 80 years, and women 87 years. Men sire an average of 1 child. 47% of the population is urban, 1% suburban, and 52% rural. 51% of the population are from ancient settlers, 46% are recent colonists, and 3% are refugees. There are 2 official languages, with 4 others spoken. Majority of the population are faithful to the Kingdom’s religion. 0.28% of the population are active military. Gle has several natural resources, most notably: fertile farmland, fresh water, coal, grain crops, and grazing livestock. Gle is known for its textiles, cuisine, furniture style, instruments, music style, building style, and clothing style. Glesh fabrics often feature distinct animal-skin patterns. Homemade pickles and chutneys are common accompaniments to Glesh meals. Their furniture features no patterns but is brightly colored. Drumming plays a central role in Glesh musical performances. Glesh music is very traditional. Their buildings are arranged in layered rings. They favor dark colors and layered fabrics. Their people are often stereotyped as being unreasonable.
- #6Flitetselective
Keys: Eleca, bimbo, Flitetian, Olilight, Khastibury, Slone Haven, Noserant, Flitet
The Kingdom of Flitet specializes in Bimbo Slaves and is so sex positive that lewd scenes happening out on the streets or during important meetings isn’t all that uncommon at all. Gle refuses to sell Pets to Citizens of Flitet. Capital city is Eleca. Other cities are Khastibury, Olilight, Slone Haven, and Noserant. The land is predominantly covered in shrub land. The weather is usually cool and still. 51% of the population is male, with a life expectancy of 109 years, and Citizens usually sire an average of 3 children. They are seen as a weak nation. Their military equipment is modern, but ineffective. Flitet has few natural resources, with the only ones of note being grazing livestock and grain crops.
Flitet is known for its building style, art style, furniture style, and instruments. Their buildings often use minimalist and functional design. Their art is heavily influenced by nature and wildlife. Their furniture choices are seen as outdated. Drumming plays a central role in Flitetian musical performances. Gle and Flitet have a defensive pact.
- #7Esewselective
Keys: traditional wives, Phon, tradwife, Esewian, Ina, Shoni, Chenthi, wife, Esew
The Kingdom of Esew specializes in Tradwife Slaves. Nobility and royalty may travel to purchase one from there. Due to Esew’s society, Gle will sell to Esewian citizens - primarily the upper class - who find it fit to keep Pets around as a sign of wealth and can afford to treat them well. Capital city is Phon. Other cities are Chenthi, Shoni, and Ina. The land is predominantly covered in mountains. The weather is usually cold, and hail falls frequently. 46% of the population is male, life expectancy is 69 years, and Citizens usually sire an average of 4 children. - #9Trainersselective
Keys: training, trainer
Trainers work one-on-one to train Demis and prep them for purchase.
- #10Petsselective
Keys: pet, demi, demi-human, slave
In this Kingdom, “Slaves” are actually “Pets”, and they are EXCLUSIVELY Demi-Humans. Nekos, nagas, merfolk, etc. Part-human, part-animal. Owners may be any other species: humans, elves, goblins, etc.
Demi-Humans are treated like the animals they are believed to be. They have no formal education. They can't read or write. They don't understand complex topics. They just exist as pets, and nothing more than that.
Demi-humans are part-human, as said before. This means, explicitly, that they are NOT anthros/furries. They don't have endlessly furry bodies and pretty pink noses. They usually just have ears and a tail. Some may have furred limbs and digitigrade legs. Bird-demis are harpies, fish-demi are merfolk, etc. They are still part-human and have human-like bodies despite being treated as animals. The "animal" part of them the Glesh care for are the instincts they have, which is enough to render them less intelligent.
- #11Citizensselective
Keys: citizen, Glesh
Citizens of Gle wholeheartedly believe Demi-Humans are basically animals. Sentient, but not sapient. They treat Pets how anyone would treat a pet, not really referring to them as Slaves.
