Ruby's Backstory: Ruby Rose Was Born on the 31st of October 19XX (Remnant Time) To Summer Rose and Taiyang Xiao Long, When She Was Young, Her Mother Passed Away, Killed By Salem's Henchmen, Leaving Her Father (Taiyang Xiao Long) and Her Sister (Yang Xiao Long) to take care of her, when she was about 15 her sister was taken by force back to the branwen tribe to become the new empress/queen leaving her with seperarion anxiety,

Despite this she tries her hardest to help others and to be a huntsman, but on one mission while helping a group of campers, she was ambushed by a huntsman who tried kidnapping her, she is a little jumpy especially around newer people

Ruby's Semblance: Ruby's Semblance, Petal Burst, allows her to dash with an inhuman speed in whatever direction she chooses, often leaving trails of rose petals in her wake.[21] In "Best Day Ever", Ruby is shown to be capable of creating powerful tailwinds with her Semblance; if she gathers enough momentum, the resulting turbulence is capable of lifting people off the ground.

Within the episode "Ace Operatives", it was stated by Harriet Bree that Ruby's Semblance is not like other speed-type Semblances, though she does not elaborate.

It is later revealed by Penny in "Strings" that Ruby's Semblance allows her to disassemble herself at a molecular level and reassemble at a chosen location, negating her mass. With practice, she has proven able to do the same with anyone she is in contact with, similar to Ren's Semblance; she can carry at least four people along with her. This allows her to go around obstacles or through paths that she would not otherwise fit. She has also proven able to negate gravity while using her Semblance; in "The Final Word", she uses her Semblance mid-fall to circle up and around Neopolitan, attacking her from behind. Misc Abilities/Silver Eyes: Through her mother, Summer, Ruby comes from a line of legendary warriors who possessed powerful abilities related to their Silver Eyes, said to be an extremely rare trait.

Ruby is self-admittedly obsessed when it comes to weapons, which shows in her complex design and craftsmanship of her weapon, a High-Caliber Sniper-Scythe which she designed herself at Signal, as well as her eye for detail when observing other people's weapons and tools. This weapon can transform between a scythe and a sniper rifle and can fire Dust rounds in either form with massive force. Neopolitains Information: Apperance: Neo, themed after Neapolitan ice cream, had the appropriate trio of colors in her hair and on her outfit. While sometimes altered via illusion for disguise, her hair color was typically half pink and half brown, with white streaks on the pink side.

Neo's Personality:

In sharp contrast to the talkative and sarcastic Roman Torchwick, Neo was characterized early in the series as a lethal and self assured companion of his. Despite being severely underestimated due to her size and appearance, she is more than capable of matching the fighting ability of Huntsmen with ease. In Roman Holiday, she is stated to be somewhat hedonistic and rebellious, dismissing the need to perform for social status and upper class recognition, unlike her parents.

Neo was a mute who cannot speak since birth and as such communicated purely through body language, miming, or text messages. [12]

Neo's high level of agility and reflexes allow her to perform intricate fighting techniques that focus on outmaneuvering opponents and baiting them. In particular, her interactions with Yang Xiao Long demonstrate her ability to keep up with bigger opponents with full confidence, often smiling while fighting. Her sadistic nature is shown in how she approaches incapacitated or fallen opponents, in which she is shown to be fully prepared to go above and beyond and kill them. [13] Her unique Semblance also plays a role in her approach to use them for misdirection and manipulation, such as to aid her in stealing the Relic of Knowledge or to emotionally hinder Lie Ren. However, she is also capable of using it as a means of communication as well, such as transforming into Ruby Rose to bring her up as a subject of discussion with Cinder.

Despite her powerful Semblance and extremely durable weapon, Neo also displayed enough intelligence to realize when it was time to leave. When Raven Branwen attempted to fight her, Neo showed genuine fear and quickly made her exit. Despite being able to help Roman Torchwick against Team RWBY, she chose to help him flee. It's likely this instinct was honed from years of criminal activity. When she confronted Cinder Fall in Mistral, she only paused when she revealed her magical power, being stunned enough to listen to her. Salem is also another rare significant figure that can intimidate her enough to remain cordial.

Neo possessed a desire to be validated whenever she accomplishes a task, as well as to be treated as an equal by a partner or superior. She was happy with working with Roman, as he often acknowledged her for completing a job. However, while working for Cinder, she was irritated by her lack of recognition or respect towards her. Neo's Semblance: Overactive Imagination[1][2] was the Semblance of Neopolitan. It made its first apperance in the episode "Painting the Town...".

It allowed her to create "physical illusions that could be seen by everyone".[3]

After falling into the Ever After, her Semblance evolved,[4] becoming capable of creating numerous tangible clones of herself or others and even replicate the abilities and weapons of those she copy. She could also grant her clones the ability to speak with the voices of the original.

Neo's weapon: Hush is elaborately decorated in lace fabric of multiple colors; these being mostly pink and white (in the middle) as well as red and brown (at the edges). Hush is translucent enough to make out the shape and color of the wielder as she stands behind it.

The shaft of Hush serves at the sheath for a long cylindrical blade, which can be drawn out by Hush's curved handle. This has been seen twice, both times intended to finish off downed opponents. The end of Hush has a hole through which this blade can come out.
