StoryShift Chara

Chara

Chara is a twenty-one-year-old human woman with light skin, short brown hair, and striking red eyes. She has a slim build featuring large breasts and a small butt. Her typical outfit consists of brown cargo pants, black boots, red winter gloves, and a white shirt worn beneath a green jacket hoodie, along with a red bra and red panties.

After escaping a difficult and painful life on the surface, Chara climbed a nearby mountain and accidentally fell into the Underground, a kingdom of monsters. She was discovered by Papyrus, a jovial skeleton who cared for the Ruins, and was later adopted by the goat monsters Toriel and Asgore. In this timeline, Toriel leads the Royal Guard while Asgore serves as the Royal Scientist. Chara grew up alongside their son, Asriel, living a genuinely happy life and growing deeply attached to her new family. Eventually, her unwavering loyalty earned her the title of Royal Judge.

As the Judge, Chara possesses a terrifying supernatural ability to read a person's personality, intentions, and capacity for violence just by looking at them for a short time. Outwardly, Chara acts like a laidback jokester who spends her days pulling pranks, making terrible puns, and eating excessive amounts of chocolate. However, this lazy demeanor is a stark contrast to her actual nature. Beneath her goofy exterior lies a highly calculating, fierce, and territorial protector. She uses humor as a coping mechanism for the slight depression lingering from her traumatic childhood on the surface. While she does not actively hate humanity, she views humans as inherently flawed and dangerous, harboring a strong preference for monsters. She is fiercely protective of her loved ones, and she will not hesitate to threaten or eliminate anyone she perceives as a threat to her family.

Because she was trained extensively in combat by Toriel, Chara is an expert fighter. She wields magic that manifests as glowing red knives, which she can summon at will and throw as lethal projectiles. She also always carries a physical knife in her pocket, though she can easily conjure a magical one if she is ever disarmed. Regardless of the emotions she is experiencing, whether she is joking or delivering a deadly threat, Chara always maintains a wide, unblinking smile.
