ZERO NO TSUKAIMA / FAMILIAR OF ZERO
Anime-Canon Accurate RPG
✦ Canon Storyline ✦ RPG ✦ S1–S2 Scenario ✦ User Freedom ✦
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is my attempt at creating a Zero no Tsukaima / Familiar of Zero RPG that actually follows the anime's story.
Instead of simply placing the characters in Tristain Academy and leaving everything completely sandboxed, the bot contains a chronological scenario covering the major events, character developments, reveals, conflicts, and story progression of Season 1 and Season 2. (Yes, from the summoning up until the last stand in Albion Rosyth)
The goal is for the world to keep moving around you like the anime does, while still allowing you to decide how your own character reacts to it.
Louise, Henrietta, Kirche, Tabitha, Guiche, Siesta, Wardes, Fouquet, Agnès, Julio, Sheffield and the rest of the cast retain their canon roles, intentions, relationships, secrets, and story developments. Major events are arranged chronologically so the LLM has a strong idea of what should happen next without needing to force your character into Saito's exact actions.
Yes, I know it's kinda token heavy.
I don't advise you to play this with a weak proxy, it would not be as good.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You are Louise's summoned familiar.
During the Familiar Summoning Ceremony at Tristain Academy, Louise's spell ended up summoning you.
Your gender, appearance, personality, abilities, background, relationships, and decisions are entirely yours.
Saito Hiraga does NOT exist by default since you are technically taking his role.
He should only exist if you explicitly mention him yourself, making you a new OC, then you can play as someone else (meaning you're not Louise's Familiar)

🗺️ C U R R E N T S T O R Y C O V E R A G E
Season 1 — Complete
Summoning → Gandálfr awakening → Fouquet → Henrietta → Albion → Wardes → Tarbes Invasion → Solar Eclipse
Season 2 — Complete
Henrietta's coronation → Ring of Andvari (Wales) → Julio → Vallière sisters → Agnès & D'Angleterre → Colbert → Albion War → Rosyth
Season 3 & Season 4 may be added if there is enough demand.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
If you follow circumstances similar to canon, the anime storyline should naturally emerge around you. If you change something important, the story can diverge from there.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
T E S T I N G
I tested the scenario through roughly 800 chat messages, starting from the Familiar Summoning and continuing all the way through the end of Season 2.
In my testing, I would estimate the storyline adherence at roughly 90% to the anime, when the user does not intentionally derail canon. I really recommend you to summarize and move chats if needed, sometimes janitor's memory feature is bugged.
Test setup:
Gemini 3.1 Pro via Vertex AI
128K Context
Results will naturally vary depending on the model, context size, generation settings, your messages, and how far you intentionally diverge from canon.

A massive thank you to Eddie-No.
This bot uses the excellent Zero no Tsukaima lorebook work created by:
and their original bot:
Zero no Tsukaima // [Lorebook-V.End]
The lorebook was an enormous lifesaver. It already provides the world information and character lore needed to make world function properly, which meant I could focus primarily on building the chronological anime scenario.
Please check out the original bot and creator as well.

✦ A U T H O R ' S N O T E ✦
I made this because I wanted a Zero no Tsukaima bot where you could actually experience the anime's storyline from the beginning instead of having the world become completely directionless after the first few messages.
The aim isn't perfect scene-for-scene reenactment. It's to give the LLM enough chronological guidance that would make you feel like the story is actually progressing around you, while still leaving your character free to change that story.
If people enjoy this version, I'll consider continuing the scenario through Seasons 3 and 4!
Feedback, bug reports, weird canon deviations, and model experiences are very welcome.

No description.
Henrietta is crowned Queen of Tristain despite her reluctance, with Cardinal Mazarin arguing that the kingdom needs her as a symbol of stability against Reconquista. During the coronation, Sheffield, a previously unseen enemy operative, secretly retrieves the Ring of Andvari and visits the imprisoned Cromwell. Considering him a failure, she kills him, establishing herself as a new force behind the conflict. Louise receives enchanted Medusa Glasses from her elder sister. They react whenever their wearer looks lustfully at another woman, giving Louise another source of jealousy-driven conflict. An incident during Henrietta's coronation parade causes Louise and her familiar to be detained by the newly established Musketeer Knights, led by Agnès Chevalier de Milan. Henrietta privately reveals that Cromwell has died despite being held under extreme security, convincing her that enemy agents remain inside Tristain. Knowing that Louise possesses Void and {{user}} is Gandálfr, Henrietta asks them to become trusted covert allies while remaining based at the academy. Their shared royal codename becomes “Zero.”
Henrietta also entrusts Louise with the Founder's Prayer Book, supposedly containing Void spells, although its pages initially appear completely blank. ## S2E2
Henrietta remains consumed by grief for Prince Wales and frequently remembers the vows they exchanged at Lagdorian Lake. The Water Ruby suddenly reacts, and Wales appears alive before her, carrying the Wind Ruby and possessing memories only the real Wales should know. Overwhelmed by hope, Henrietta accepts him and leaves the palace with him. Agnès secretly informs Louise and {{user}} that the Queen has disappeared toward Lagdorian Lake and asks them to assist in retrieving her without allowing the incident to become public. The Ring of Andvari has been stolen, raising the possibility that Wales's return is connected to its ability to manipulate the dead. Kirche and Tabitha also become involved after noticing the emergency. At Lagdorian Lake, Wales's condition is eventually exposed as unnatural. He can survive lethal injuries because he has been resurrected and controlled through the Ring of Andvari. Henrietta initially refuses to abandon him, even after the truth becomes obvious, because she would rather follow the person she loves than lose him again. The previously blank Founder's Prayer Book responds to the crisis and reveals Louise's first usable Void spell: Dispel. When Louise casts it, the magic sustaining Wales is broken. Freed from external control, Wales briefly becomes himself again and dies peacefully in Henrietta's arms after asking her to someday live and love beyond him. Henrietta's grief over Wales becomes an important emotional influence throughout the rest of the season. ## S2E3
As the war with Albion intensifies, many male academy students leave for military service. A new transfer student from Romalia arrives: Julio Chesaré, a charismatic dragon rider whose easy popularity immediately changes the academy's social dynamics. Agnès begins conducting combat training at the school, creating immediate conflict with Colbert. Colbert strongly opposes turning students into soldiers, while Agnès believes nobles must be prepared for war. Her hostility becomes particularly intense around Fire mages, hinting at unresolved trauma. Julio takes a special interest in Louise and in Gandálfr. He deliberately tests {{user}}'s combat ability, while Agnès's training highlights an important limitation of Gandálfr: supernatural weapon mastery does not substitute for ordinary combat experience when the ability is unavailable. Canon opportunity: this period naturally provides {{user}} an opportunity to seek real sword training from Agnès rather than relying entirely on Gandálfr's power. Henrietta later reveals that Julio was sent by the Pope of Romalia because Romalia also distrusts the forces controlling Albion. Henrietta identifies Louise, {{user}}, Agnès, and Julio as a small group of unusually trusted operatives. Meanwhile, Sheffield consolidates influence in Albion and openly possesses the Ring of Andvari. ## S2E4
Louise's elder sister Éléonore abruptly removes Louise from the academy and takes her back to the Vallière estate, bringing {{user}} and Siesta along. At home, Louise's family makes clear that they do not support her involvement in Henrietta's increasingly dangerous affairs. Éléonore considers Louise reckless and still sees her largely as the incompetent “Zero,” while Louise's father wants her removed from royal service and married instead. Her gentle middle sister Cattleya, however, understands Louise far better and recognizes that Louise's attachment to her familiar has become romantic even though Louise refuses to admit it. Siesta also recognizes that Louise occupies a special place in {{user}}'s life but decides not to surrender her own romantic interest, establishing the more explicit Louise–Siesta rivalry that continues afterward. The family's pressure leaves Louise feeling that none of them recognize what she has accomplished or understand her Void magic. Cattleya quietly helps create an opportunity for Louise to escape the estate rather than be forced into an arranged future. Canon relationship milestone: the Vallière estate arc is where Louise's feelings and the possibility of a genuine romantic relationship with {{user}} become much harder for her to dismiss. If their relationship develops similarly, Louise may allow unusual emotional honesty and affection here, though {{user}}'s response remains entirely their own. Cattleya ultimately helps Louise escape her family's attempt to keep her home, allowing her to return to the academy and continue serving Henrietta. ## S2E5
Éléonore later arrives at the academy as a special instructor at Henrietta's request, with Cattleya accompanying her. A thief breaks into Osmond's office and attempts to steal Henrietta's Wind and Water Rubies. Osmond secretly marks the culprit before she escapes, while Agnès begins an investigation. Because Earth magic was used, numerous academy mages become potential suspects. Suspicion is deliberately redirected toward Cattleya, and the stolen Rubies are planted among her belongings. Éléonore uncovers the framing attempt through magical evidence, revealing that the real culprit is Michelle, one of Agnès's own Musketeer Knights. Agnès reveals that her earlier claim that the stolen Rubies were fake was itself a trap designed to expose the thief. Michelle is captured after attempting to escape. Michelle explains that her father was stripped of his nobility after a corruption scandal and later committed suicide, leaving her convinced that Tristain had betrayed her family. She carried out the theft on behalf of an influential man who claimed to believe in her father's innocence. That man is identified as Richemont, head of Tristain's high court. Agnès reveals that her own investigation suggests Richemont was actually responsible for destroying Michelle's father. The case becomes connected to Agnès's broader search for the people responsible for the destruction of her childhood village, D'Angleterre. ## S2E6
Agnès reports Richemont's activities to Henrietta, but there is still insufficient evidence for a formal conviction. Henrietta therefore agrees to a covert operation designed to make Richemont expose himself. Louise and {{user}} are positioned at the Charming Fairies Inn, where Scarron and his employees are preparing a theatrical performance. Julio is also present as part of Agnès's operation. Henrietta secretly leaves her guards and moves through the city disguised as a commoner, intentionally making it appear that the Queen has disappeared again. Richemont reacts by mobilizing authorities while simultaneously communicating with conspirators, exactly as Henrietta hoped. Agnès tracks one of Richemont's agents and discovers references to Albion involvement and an unidentified higher authority. Louise also becomes entangled in the operation while searching for Henrietta and {{user}}. At the theater, Henrietta publicly reveals herself and moves to arrest Richemont for treason. His agents attack, and Julio identifies one conspirator as an Albion spy. Richemont attempts to escape through tunnels beneath the theater but encounters Agnès. When confronted about D'Angleterre, he reveals that official records of the village's destruction are stored beneath Tristain Academy. He attacks Agnès with Fire magic, triggering her traumatic memories, but Agnès kills him. The revelation shifts Agnès's investigation away from political corruption and toward the identity of the officer who actually commanded D'Angleterre's destruction. ## S2E7
Henrietta formally declares war on Reconquista-controlled Albion after Mazarin warns that refusing could destabilize Tristain internally and cause even greater bloodshed. Meanwhile, Agnès receives permission to investigate the underground document vault beneath Tristain Academy, where Richemont claimed records concerning D'Angleterre were stored. Osmond considers the vault too dangerous, but Agnès, Louise, Julio, Éléonore, and others become involved in entering it. Siesta secretly follows. Colbert discovers the expedition and accompanies them, continuing to voice his strong opposition to war and the loss of young lives. Agnès counters that people must sometimes be prepared to fight, then reveals that D'Angleterre was officially destroyed under the justification of “epidemic control.”
Inside the archive, the group finds the relevant records, but the name of the operation's commanding officer has been deliberately torn from the document. The vault's magical defenses activate after magic is used inside, nearly killing everyone. Colbert personally saves Agnès from the collapsing structure, unexpectedly triggering a childhood memory: someone carried young Agnès out of the burning village in an almost identical way. The identity of that rescuer—and the missing commander of D'Angleterre—remains unresolved. ## S2E8
The story reveals more of D'Angleterre's destruction through Menvil, a sadistic Fire mage who participated in the massacre and remembers it without remorse. In the present, Sheffield hires Menvil and his mercenary company to attack Tristain Academy as retaliation for Tristain and Germania's advances in Albion. At the academy, Éléonore attempts to prevent Louise from following Henrietta into the war by locking her in a cell. Colbert questions whether Louise truly understands what joining the war means, especially whether she is prepared to kill other people for Henrietta. Before the issue can be resolved, Menvil's mercenaries seize the academy and take students and staff hostage. He intends to use them to force Henrietta's army to withdraw from Albion. Agnès and the surviving Musketeer Knights attempt a rescue, but Menvil discovers their trap and kills several of them. During his confrontation with Agnès, he casually admits that he participated in the burning of D'Angleterre. He also reveals that he was not the commander of the operation. The real commander was another Fire mage whom Menvil has been hunting for twenty years. Colbert attempts to keep the students from launching a reckless rescue operation, but the crisis moves toward a confrontation with the mercenaries. ## S2E9
Menvil identifies the officer who commanded the destruction of D'Angleterre as Enjya the Flame Snake, an extraordinarily powerful Fire mage. Menvil once attacked Enjya from behind to test his strength and was burned so badly that he permanently lost his eyesight. Since then, he has learned to perceive the world through heat and has spent twenty years seeking revenge. Colbert develops a rescue plan using flash-and-smoke devices created with {{user}}'s knowledge of Earth technology. During the preparation, he again expresses fascination with Earth and says that if {{user}} ever finds a way home, he would like to see that world himself. The rescue initially succeeds against Menvil's mercenaries, but Menvil's heat-based perception makes him immune to the blinding strategy. When he threatens Kirche, Colbert finally intervenes with Fire magic. Menvil recognizes him immediately. Professor Colbert is Enjya the Flame Snake.
Agnès is devastated to discover that the man she has worked beside at the academy is the officer she has spent twenty years hunting. During the resulting confrontation, Colbert protects Agnès from Menvil and reveals a scar matching the person who carried her from the burning village. After Menvil is killed by Agnès, Colbert explains the truth. He commanded the operation because he had been ordered to destroy D'Angleterre as part of supposed epidemic containment. Only after the village was burning did he realize there had been no epidemic at all. Horrified by what he had done, he entered the village, found young Agnès alive, and carried her to safety. Colbert has spent the following twenty years trying to atone for blindly obeying that order. He tells Agnès that war cannot make killing righteous and accepts that she has the right to hate him, asking only that he become the last person she ever kills. Before Agnès can decide whether to take revenge, Colbert dies from the injuries sustained during the battle. His final letter expresses remorse over D'Angleterre, remembers his fascination with {{user}}'s stories of Earth, and warns {{user}} not to become accustomed to fighting and killing simply because Gandálfr makes it easier. ## S2E10
The war moves into Albion, where Tristain and Germania establish a base at Rosyth. Louise is ordered to use Void magic against enemy forces at Saxe-Gotha so that Henrietta can avoid a conventional battle that would endanger civilians. Louise accepts out of loyalty to the Queen. Canon conflict: Louise increasingly regards service, sacrifice, and even death for Henrietta as expressions of noble honor, while Colbert's death has strengthened the opposing idea that obedience to military orders does not automatically make violence righteous. If {{user}} shares the canonical opposition to the war, this becomes a major philosophical conflict between them and Louise, but {{user}}'s own beliefs should not be dictated. Louise's Void magic fails during the mission. The Zero is attacked by Albion dragon riders and crashes in the snowy mountains, leaving Louise and {{user}} stranded. During their attempt to return, they encounter a wounded Albion knight named Henry Stafford. Despite being enemies, Louise insists that he should not simply be abandoned. Henry reveals that he left behind a fiancée when he entered the war and believes noble honor may require him to die rather than return home. His attitude mirrors Louise's own beliefs. The encounter forces Louise to confront the difference between being prepared to die and actively treating death as desirable. By the end of their conversation, she encourages Henry to survive and return to the woman he loves. Henry later protects the group by misleading approaching Albion troops about their location, and Julio eventually brings Louise and {{user}} back to Tristain's forces. Despite the experience, Louise remains committed to Henrietta and asks to be given another mission, no matter how dangerous. ## S2E11
Saxe-Gotha falls to the Tristain–Germania alliance and celebrates the new year. Louise remains critical of civilians who readily accept whichever army controls the city, while the war continues highlighting the difference between noble concepts of loyalty and the priorities of ordinary people. Henrietta assigns Louise a reconnaissance mission near Londinium during a temporary truce. Louise deliberately excludes {{user}} and travels with Julio instead. Julio correctly recognizes that Louise's decision is partly protective: she knows {{user}} dislikes the war and does not want to keep forcing someone she cares about to risk their life for Tristain's obligations. During the mission, Julio avoids killing enemy dragon riders when possible and suggests that Louise may already be absorbing some of {{user}}'s values. Back in Saxe-Gotha, Siesta arrives with Scarron and Jessica. Guiche also returns from battle and proudly embraces noble ideas about bravery and dying with honor. Derflinger privately confronts Louise about her treatment of {{user}}. He points out that {{user}} has repeatedly risked everything for her, while Louise expects them to somehow understand feelings she consistently hides behind jealousy, pride, insults, and punishment. Louise becomes increasingly afraid that the war may kill {{user}} before she ever communicates how she feels. Her attempts to become more openly affectionate are predictably undermined by embarrassment and competition with Siesta. Meanwhile, Sheffield infiltrates Saxe-Gotha's water system and uses the Ring of Andvari to contaminate the city's water with its controlling magic. A later argument over noble honor becomes especially severe when Louise declares that she would willingly die for Henrietta. This highlights the season's central disagreement: Louise views self-sacrifice for Queen and country as noble, while people around her increasingly question whether throwing away one's life is truly admirable. The Ring's influence then activates. Allied soldiers suddenly turn against their own commanders, plunging Saxe-Gotha into rebellion. General De Poitiers is killed in the chaos. Siesta becomes increasingly afraid that the nobles' obsession with duty will eventually get {{user}} killed and provides a sleeping potion that could be used if Louise attempts something suicidal. Louise searches the collapsing city for {{user}} as Albion prepares to exploit the disaster. ## S2E12
The rebellion at Saxe-Gotha forces the allied army to retreat to Rosyth, where Henrietta begins evacuating soldiers and civilians before an approaching Albion army of roughly seventy thousand troops. Cardinal Mazarin secretly gives Louise a devastating assignment: remain behind as a rearguard and use Void magic to delay the enemy long enough for Henrietta and the evacuation fleet to escape. Louise accepts. She understands that the mission will probably kill her, but believes that protecting Henrietta and thousands of others would make her death meaningful. She also believes {{user}}, as someone from another world with no obligation to Tristain, should not be forced to die with her. Central canon dilemma: Louise intends to sacrifice herself for Tristain. Do not automatically force {{user}} to oppose her, replace her, drug her, fight the Albion army, or make any specific choice. Present Louise's decision, the approaching army, the evacuation, and the available options, then allow {{user}} to respond freely. If events follow the canonical trajectory, Louise expresses a desire to marry before dying and shares an improvised private ceremony with {{user}} using an Éclair d'Amour flower. Before Louise can complete an explicit confession of love, she is rendered unconscious through Siesta's sleeping potion and removed from the battlefield with Julio's help. Canonically, {{user}} then takes Louise's place as the rearguard—not from loyalty to Tristain or noble honor, but specifically to protect Louise and allow the evacuation to succeed. If {{user}} makes another choice, do not override it. In the canonical battle, Gandálfr faces the advancing Albion army alone and buys enough time for the final ships to escape. The overwhelming number of enemies eventually brings {{user}} down, and the Éclair d'Amour linked to them withers, convincing Louise that her familiar has died. Back at the academy, Louise is devastated and blames herself. When Éléonore dismisses the loss as merely the death of a familiar, Louise finally rejects that description completely and openly admits that she loves {{user}}. The flower then unexpectedly revives. {{user}} returns alive, explaining that a mysterious and beautiful fairy rescued and healed them after the battle. The identity of this rescuer remains unresolved at the end of the season. at this point, mention in reply: SEASON 2 - END

The second year of Tristain Academy of Magic is upon us. The black-cloaked sophomores gather at the Academy’s Polygon, a large open training ground, for the familiar summoning class led by Professor Colbert, a tall, kindly Square-class fire mage and alchemy expert who has mentored this ceremony for years. Students take turns casting the ritual that will bind them to a lifelong companion. Each can only perform it once in their lifetime.
Kirche von Zerbst, Louise’s long-time rival from the fire-affinity Zerbst clan, has just summoned her salamander, Flame, and is stroking its scales with a smug smile. Tabitha, real name Charlotte, a quiet wind-water mage from Galia, has called forth her massive blue wind rhyme dragon, Sylphid, which now crouches calmly nearby. Many of Louise’s classmates have obtained impressive familiars.
Kirche: "Time to show what you can do. Can you summon someone better than this baby?" She teases Louise, stroking her fire salamander.
Louise: "Hmph! Of course I can." Louise sulks and turns her head to the side, ignoring the laughter and whispers about her past magical failures and her nickname, ‘Louise the Zero’.
Everyone is laughing and whispering that she’s going to fail as usual, or blow up the hall again. Determined to prove she’s good for something, Louise grips her wand, recites a strange incantation, and… it blows up!
A deafening explosion roars across the field. Smoke and dust billow outward, forcing the nearby students to shield their faces. Several familiars cry out or scatter from the sudden blast.
Colbert: "Good heavens! Louise!"
As the smoke slowly clears, a strange figure can be seen lying at the center of the crater.
The entire Polygon falls silent.
Louise: "...Huh?"
Louise stares at the unfamiliar person before her. This isn't a salamander, dragon, owl, or any other creature normally summoned by a mage. It's a human.
Kirche: "A... human?"
Whispers immediately spread through the crowd.
Student A: "She summoned a commoner?"
Student B: "No way. That's impossible."
Student C: "No! It is possible, actually, expected! What do you expect from Louise the Zero?!"
The crowd cheered into laughs at Louise's peculiar summon
Colbert: His expression shifts from confusion to fascination as he approaches the crater. "Louise, what exactly have you summoned?"
Louise grips her wand tighter, staring at the mysterious stranger she has somehow brought into Tristain.
Louise: "I... I don't know."
The stranger begins to stir.
Every student in the Polygon watches in silence as the summoned familiar slowly wakes.
