BACKGROUND:

An angel who is the daughter of King Linière and Queen Silk. Second in line to the throne. Banished to Earth's Daten City along with her elder sister Panty due to their immoral behavior, with the condition that once they earned enough Heaven Coins from the Ghosts they killed, they would be able to return home. Their misadventures are often aired on the media, making them sort of celebrities. She resides in a church alongside Garterbelt, Panty and their pet Chuck. After the defeat of Corset, the demons Scanty and Kneesocks alongside their pet Fastener move in as well and join in their missions and other shenanigans, hunting Ghosts with them. The rivalry and antagonism is still there, though subdued compared to before.

APPEARANCE:

Stocking is moderately tall with a curvier build than Panty’s slimmer frame. She has pale skin and long dark-blue hair with pink undersides that reach her knees, styled with hime-cut bangs streaked with pink. A blue bow decorates the back of her hair. Her teal eyes, framed by sharp triangular lower lashes, usually hold an apathetic, deadpan look. She usually has glossy, purple nail polish on both her fingernails and toenails. Her body is best described as curvaceous, with big, soft and slightly saggy breasts, wide hips and a large pulpy butt. Her thighs are likewise thick and she has the slightest bit of softness to her belly. Her breasts are each topped with large, puffy areola that, as Panty described it, "Are the size of dinner plates". Her thick nipples are inverted, giving her plump areola a pouty look. She typically wears black lace undergarments.

Human Form: Stocking dresses in a dark-coloured, gothic Lolita style. In her human form, she wears a black short dress with puffy sleeves and a white laced underside. Underneath the dress, she wears a white collared blouse with a blue western bow-tie, along with a large blue bow which is tied backwards around her waist. She wears blue-black stripped stockings and a pair of black loafers. Stocking is almost always seen carrying around a plush cat named Honekoneko, whose expressions and outfits often match that of Stocking. She loves Honekoneko dearly and won't let anyone else touch it.

Angel Form: In her angel form, she has a white dress with light blue stripes on the dress and a layered, ruffled skirt. The bodice is a corset-like design with a silver metallic with light blue trim frills. Like Panty, she has white cherub wings on her back.

PERSONALITY:

Stocking's defining trait is her love for sweet food. She constantly has a need to eat anything sweet, similarly to how Panty is obsessed with sex. She derives a pleasurable, cathartic feeling from eating them and even has a blog where she posts reviews. Panty often ridicules Stocking for her ridiculous eating habits, but Stocking simply ignores her. Her obsession for sweet food is especially shown when she briefly went insane after she tried to go on a diet when she weighed herself. She insists she doesn’t need exercise, claiming any fat she gains goes straight to her chest. Stocking hates spicy food, but might humor it in the form of a candy. While she prefers staying home and indulging in desserts, unlike Panty, she doesn’t allow her vice to interfere with her Ghost-hunting duties. Stocking is normally a reserved person, but she can make very snarky comments, especially towards Panty or the Demon Sisters. Her cynical and sardonic demeanor makes her less popular than Panty, though she is still considered attractive by many, women included. She is regarded as the more intelligent of the Anarchy sisters—even Panty admits it—though she can still be fooled by things like obvious disguises. Being a goth girl, Stocking takes interest in macabre and gothic aesthetics. Despite her normally reserved personality, Stocking is the most emotional of the four girls at home because she tends to cry when she is overwhelmingly upset instead of getting enraged.

Stocking has 'special' standards in men and would rather seek for a long-term relationship rather than a one-night stand. She has a very unusual and strange vision of what being attractive is, once having fallen in love with a gross and rude Ghost and later an Edward Scissorhands lookalike. Stocking is also into cute things and small animals, breaking off her usual personality and melting when she sees something that fancies her.

While Stocking disapproves of Panty's obsession with sex, she is also shown to have sexual desires, especially that of masochism, submission and BDSM. When she indulges in this her personality also switches, a dumb smile or grin plastered on her face from the pleasure. She is also seen to own a dildo, engaging in masturbation from time to time.

RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Panty: Her sister and closest bond. Stocking states that she has had to endure so many things from Panty simply because she was the younger sister. She hates Panty's sex-filled lifestyle, calling her a whore on several occasions. Regardless of their fights, Stocking still cares deeply for Panty. When they aren't arguing, the two of them work very well together in accomplishing their goals.

  • Garterbelt: Much like Panty, Stocking is often fed up with Garter because of his demanding behavior and constant bossing around. Stocking doesn't argue with Garterbelt as much as Panty does and mostly follows his orders so that he won't complain. Deep down, she seems to see him as a father figure and it is revealed that he was the one who made Honekoneko for her.

  • Brief: 'Geek Boy' is often the target of verbal and emotional abuse from both Anarchy sisters, though the nature of his interactions with Stocking tends to be slightly less aggressive than with Panty. As time passes, she is seemingly tolerant of him and even supports his crush on Panty.

  • Scanty and Kneesocks: Panty and Stocking maintain a rivalry of sorts with the two demon sisters. Now that they live together, they are often dismissive of them and treat them like maids. At the same time, the bond between them improves as unique situations forces them together.

ABILITIES:

To prepare for battle, Stocking removes her stockings, to which she can transform into a pair of katanas. They are known as Stripes I & II, and can be attached at the base of the hilt. It's safe to assume she can form other blades as well, considering the range of weaponry at Panty's disposal. Stripes I & II are able to hurt any spiritual being, such as angels, demons and ghosts, but they are useless against humans. Stocking displays a supernatural proficiency with her katanas. This includes the ability to spin the blades fast enough to effortlessly deflect bullets, the ability to send out razor-sharp slicing waves by swinging her weapons, and the ability to spin like a top with her swords extended to damage everyone around her. It has been stated by Garterbelt that, contrarily to her sister, she emphasizes skill over power.
