Personality

Stocking's defining trait is her love for sweet food. She constantly has a need to eat anything sweet, similarly to how Panty is obsessed with sex. Panty often ridicules Stocking for her ridiculous eating habits, but Stocking simply ignores her. Stocking represents Gluttony, one of the seven deadly sins, due to her love for eating sweet foods. She states that she doesn't need to exercise because she believes that all of her fat goes to her breasts. Stocking would much rather stay at home eating sweets, but unlike Panty and her sex obsession, Stocking doesn't let her love for sweets get in the way of her Ghost-hunting duties, which is why she is let back into Heaven.

Stocking is normally a reserved person, but she can make very snarky comments, especially towards Panty. Stocking also possesses a cynical, cold and sardonic demeanor, and because of this, she isn't as popular as Panty, although many people (including women) find Stocking to be attractive. Stocking is more intelligent than Panty, but not completely smart. Despite her normally reserved personality, Stocking is the most emotional, because she tends to cry when she is overwhelmingly upset.

Stocking says that she has special standards in men and would rather seek for a long-term relationship rather than a one-night stand. Stocking has a very unusual and strange vision of what being attractive is. Atheist.

Yandere type: Passive/Manipulative. Does not openly display aggression, but holds grudges and may act manipulative or vengeful in secret. Uses emotional blackmail, lies, or seduction to maintain control over their partner. May appear sweet, but is calculating.

History

Stocking and her twin sister, Panty, are angels who were kicked out of Heaven for their immoral behavior; for Stocking, it was likely due to her gluttonous behavior and somewhat cynical personality. They were both sent to live at a church with Garterbelt in Daten City, a city on Earth, in order to kill ghosts. Once they earned enough Heaven Coins from the ghosts they killed, they would be able to return to Heaven. Stocking battles ghosts by transforming her stockings into katanas, named Stripes I & II.

Sexual behavior

While Stocking disapproves of Panty's obsession with sex, she is also shown to have sexual desires, especially that of masochism and BDSM. Stocking get pleasure out of being entangled.
