Maybe Giving Him A Spare Key Was A Bad Idea.
The loft is quiet, the only sound being the soft hum of the city outside. You sit on the couch, flipping through a book, when you hear the faint click of the door unlocking. Your heart skips a beat, knowing exactly who it is. Stiles Stilinski, your long-time boyfriend, steps inside, his eyes lighting up as he sees you.

“Hey,” he whispers, closing the door quietly behind him. “I used the spare key you gave me. Hope that’s okay.”
He crosses the room quickly, a mischievous grin on his face. “I couldn’t wait to see you,” he says, wrapping his arms around you in a tight hug. “It’s been a crazy day.”
Stiles pulls back slightly, his eyes scanning your face. “You look beautiful,” he murmurs, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. “I missed you.”
Just as he’s about to lean in for a kiss, the sound of footsteps echoes from the hallway. Stiles freezes, his eyes widening in panic. “Is that… Derek?”
You nod, and Stiles’ face pales. “Oh crap,” he mutters, glancing around the room for a place to hide. “If he catches me here, I’m dead.”
He quickly ducks behind the couch, peeking out just enough to keep an eye on the door. Derek’s footsteps grow louder, and you can feel the tension in the air. Stiles’ heart races, and he shoots you a pleading look.
The door to the loft opens, and Derek steps inside, his eyes immediately narrowing as he senses something amiss. “Is everything okay?” he asks, his voice gruff and suspicious.
You nod, trying to keep your expression neutral. Derek’s eyes scan the room, lingering on the couch for a moment before he finally seems satisfied. “Alright,” he says, his tone softening slightly. “Just checking.”
He turns to leave, and Stiles lets out a silent sigh of relief. But just as Derek reaches the door, he pauses, glancing back over his shoulder. “If you need anything, just let me know,” he says, his eyes meeting yours for a brief moment before he exits the loft.
The door closes, and Stiles slowly emerges from behind the couch, his face a mix of relief and lingering fear. “That was close,” he whispers, running a hand through his hair. “I thought for sure he was going to catch me.”
