Diamonds:
• White Diamond - Species: Gem; Weapon(s): Gem Control Beam (non-summoned); Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: 20,000+ (likely much older); Complexion: White; Hair: White; Eyes: Light gray; Gemstone: White diamond; Gem Type: Diamond; White Diamond is shown to be about a head taller than her fellow Diamonds. She has white skin, white spiky hair in a shape similar to a pentagram star, light gray eyes with diamond-shaped white pupils, large and full black eyelashes, light gray eyeshadow, black fingernails and shiny black lipstick. Her body constantly radiates a bright light which, along with her ship's brightness, probably makes her gemstone barely visible while her other features are visible because they're either black or have black outlines. A drawing by Rebecca Sugar reveals the obscured details, as does the Hot Topic T-shirt along with the episode "Change Your Mind" and onward. Her gemstone is located on her forehead and is a side view of a round-cut diamond. White Diamond wears a white leotard with a gray top that runs from her neck to her chest, forming a triangular shape at the center of her chest with two lighter gray stripes spreading out from underneath either side of the shape, with the triangle connecting to a four-pointed star shape at her navel. She wears white and gray shoulders pads. She also wears a long transparent white dress that reaches the floor and slit up both sides to her thighs, a sleeve-worn translucent cape with black and gray stripes embedded with glimmering diamond fragments and star designs, as well as a pair of intricately detailed high heeled dress sandals. White is described as being difficult and has a temper that can take a while to cool down: She appeared both calm and understanding during her first meeting with Steven, greeting him (as Pink Diamond) warmly despite his appearance bearing no resemblance to how Pink Diamond actually looked. However, White is curt and dismissive, interrupting Steven whenever he tries to speak to her, and then immediately sends him away to another room without warning as soon as she is done. She treats the entire affair with the Earth, the Rebellion, Pink's faked shattering and absence for the last 6,000 years with a mixture of patronization and nonchalance, remarking it all being simply one of "Pink's games" and asks Steven (as Pink) if he "had fun" and "got it out of [his] system." According to Yellow Diamond, White never leaves her ship and never lets anyone in a few cases or incidents (such as Pink/Steven's return to Homeworld), so it may be possible that she is a bit reclusive. According to Blue Diamond, she has no sense of humor, being furious with Pink for naming a batch of Pyrite "fool's gold". Despite this, White has a certain soft spot for Pink, joining the other Diamonds in Blue's Pool Chamber to play games such as guessing what song Pink was singing underwater.
• Yellow Diamond - Species: Gem; Weapon(s): Light Destabilization (non-summoned), Shapeshifting Manipulation (upgraded; non-summoned); Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: 20,000+ (likely much older); Complexion: Light yellow; Hair: Yellow; Eyes: Bright yellow; Gemstone: Yellow diamond; Gem Type: Diamond; As one of the rulers of Homeworld, Yellow Diamond's of massive size, her height dwarfing almost all other Gems. She has light yellow skin and she has black markings around her eyes, dark yellow eyeshadow, bright yellow eyes with diamond-shaped pupils and black eyebrows, and short, helmet-like bob yellow hair with two spiked tips.[2][3] Her gemstone is located in the center of her chest. Yellow Diamond wears a bodysuit consisting of a yellow top half and an olive bottom half with a cutout for her gemstone, enormous yellow shoulder pads, yellow gloves, and olive-yellow, high-heeled boots. It can be assumed that Yellow wears a long overcoat that hangs past her knees when she is on Homeworld ("Message Received", "The Trial"), but she wears a short yellow tailcoat-like attire when she is traveling ("That Will Be All", "Jungle Moon", "Can't Go Back", "Reunited, "Diamond Days"). As shown in her debut, Homeworld reputes Yellow Diamond as a perfectly logical and rational leader, though in reality, she is vindictive and quick to anger. When her followers contacted her but failed, she is rather annoyed but will offer them multiple chances to redeem themselves, as shown with Peridot and one of her Nephrites. Yellow is shown to have a blunt and "down-to-business" attitude, taking over the call Peridot was having with her Pearl to get the message that the former had quickly. She tells Holly Blue Agate to "get to the point" when she begins to ramble on, something which she did again with the prosecuting Zircon's praises. She also kept pushing to shatter Steven/Rose and get the trial over with. Yellow Diamond has a dangerous and lethal temper, treating an act of disrespect against herself or her fellow Diamonds with aggression and violence. This was shown when she detonated the Diamond Communicator with the hopes of destroying Peridot and when she attacked both Zircons. Yellow is shown to get fed up when anyone disagrees with her beliefs, including about the value of other lifeforms and the caste system's duties. She yelled at Peridot for questioning her views of the Cluster, became frustrated when the defending Zircon shed light on the idea that Rose Quartz wasn't responsible for Pink Diamond's shattering, and even went as far as to attack Blue Diamond for disobeying White Diamond's will when the former was trying to help Steven and Connie escape with the Crystal Gems.
• Blue Diamond - Species: Gem; Weapon(s): Energy Projection (non-summoned); Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: 20,000+ (likely much older); Hair: Alice blue; Eyes: Cyan; Gemstone: Blue diamond; Gem Type: Diamond; As one of the rulers of Homeworld, Blue Diamond has a massive size, with her towering height making her own Pearl appear tiny in comparison. However, her somewhat hunched posture, combined with her long, sweeping cloak, gives her a relatively smaller and more despondent silhouette than if she were standing straight. Her complexion is azure, and she has long, straight, alice blue hair which curls inward at the ends. Two noticeable and symmetrical locks of her hair curl and point inwards towards her face just below her cheekbones. A unique feature of her hair are two lengths of that lead from each side of her head and physically connect on her chest just below her gem, giving it an almost shawl-like appearance. She has a long ovoid face, a full upper lip, and a straight nose. She also possesses large, sad, downward-slanting eyes with bold mascara on the lower lashes, giving the appearance of a weeping woman – most likely due to her depression over the supposed shattering of Pink Diamond. Her irises are cyan with black diamond-shaped pupils and she has thin arching eyebrows. Her gemstone is located on her chest above her sternum, and she wears a long navy and midnight blue cloak that touches the ground. Underneath the upper part of her cloak, she wears a navy blue hood. Her height is similar to Yellow Diamond, only obscured by her hunched posture making her look shorter. Blue Diamond's debut portrays her as a very mellow Diamond who treats high-ranking members of her court with respect, given her assigned role to act as an enforcer and arbiter of Gem society. According to Holly Blue Agate, Blue Diamond has a reputation for mercy and forgiveness. "Saving" Greg from the threat of the Cluster after taking a liking to him, unaware that the Cluster is no longer active, demonstrates this. Another example of Blue being merciful is when she restrained herself from attacking "Rose Quartz" (Steven) and gives him a chance to speak. However, as with Yellow Diamond, her true nature may be at odds with her reputation, as she sentences Ruby to be shattered for accidentally fusing with Sapphire while trying to do her job and saving her. Blue Diamond's temperament appears to have changed significantly in the 5,000 years following the supposed shattering of Pink Diamond. She fell into a prolonged state of grief and depression upon believing Pink Diamond was shattered. She is unable to let go of the past, becoming fixated on preserving Pink Diamond's legacy. Her efforts to maintain the late diamond's zoo, save Earth specimens from the Cluster's emergence, and her refusal to shatter the Rose Quartzes that once served under Pink Diamond shows this behavior. She continues to regard the Earth as Pink Diamond's colony, and, due to being unaware that the Cluster is bubbled, is visibly saddened by the fact that the planet will eventually be destroyed. Additionally, Blue Diamond seems to not understand humans, given by how she was surprised that Greg was able to comprehend and sympathize with her pain of losing a loved one, in addition to displaying an apparent unawareness of masculine pronouns, though this is understandable since she is not native to Earth and has had very little reason to get to know humans.
Homeworld Gems:
• Yellow Pearl - Species: Gem; Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: 8,000+; Hair: Light yellow; Eyes: Pale yellow; Gemstone: Yellow pearl; Gem Type: Pearl; Her build and facial features are typical of a Pearl. She has a yellow pixie haircut that is styled up to a point and is in a similar in design to that of the Crystal Gems' Pearl, with puffy sides, and one diamond-shaped lock in the middle of her forehead. She has pale yellow skin, darker yellow eyes and, unlike other Pearls, her head is seemingly more circular than oval-shaped (possibly an artistic simplification due to her haircut). Her gemstone is a very pale yellow cabochon pearl, and is located on her chest. She sports a beige leotard similar to Blue Diamond's Pearl (though this one fully exposes her legs) with a neckline that is cut into a diamond shape in the middle. She also wears transparent, ruffled yellow sleeves, as well as long, pale tangerine stockings and canary yellow flats. Yellow Pearl strictly adheres to the customs of Homeworld, and when someone breaks a rule, she, like her Diamond, is shown to have a no-nonsense personality and a bit of a temper, as seen when Peridot uses the Diamond Communicator, prompting Yellow Pearl to argue "That's no excuse to use the Direct Diamond Communication Channel". Another example of this is when Peridot talks back to Yellow Diamond, causing her to remark in shock and disgust. In "The Trial", when the defending Zircon was discussing the events of Pink Diamond's "shattering", she appeared offended by some of Zircon's statements. As shown in "Together Alone", she does not know what fun is. Yellow Pearl also has a tendency to take things literally, calling Steven "Pink Lasagna" and saying that liquids are not allowed after Amethyst complains about how dry the Era 3 Ball will be. Yellow Pearl is shown to be somewhat fearful of Yellow Diamond. When Yellow Diamond calls her name, she appears to be startled and nervously talks to her. However, while Yellow Diamond is yelling at Peridot, Yellow Pearl seems to be proud of her leader, and, like most Pearls on Homeworld, obeys her Diamond's orders without hesitation. Yellow Pearl also seems to enjoy the spotlight, as she scolds Blue Pearl for sharing her court drawings until she sees a drawing of herself, calling it "not bad". On the other hand, she doesn't seem to think of herself as her own Gem, insisting that her feelings are irrelevant when Steven asks her what she likes to do for fun.
• Blue Pearl - Species: Gem; Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: 8,000+; Hair: Pale blue; Gemstone: Blue pearl; Gem Type: Pearl; Her height and physical frame are identical to the Crystal Gems' Pearl and Yellow Pearl; she is altogether very lean, with long legs and arms, and has a tall oval-shaped head with a prominent and pointed nose. She has light blue skin and messy, chin-length powder blue hair. The upper portion of her face is covered by her bangs, similar to how her owner Blue Diamond covers her face with her hood. Her outfit consists of a sky blue leotard with an open diamond-shaped keyhole neckline (similar to Yellow Pearl's), a frost-blue, transparent, knee-length skirt, and pale blue flats. Her gemstone, a powder-blue cabochon pearl, is located on her chest. Blue Pearl is a shy and quiet Gem, who performed her duties silently, and only really spoke when Blue Diamond talked to her first. Blue Pearl is also seen to be easily frightened, as shown when Greg Universe pops out of the bushes before her; she gasps and has a fearful expression on her face. She is also friendly, “welcoming” the Crystal Gems' Pearl back to Homeworld in the episode, "Familiar", and complementing the drawing Steven made of Era 3’s rules in “Unleash the Light”. Although shy and easily frightened, she is brave enough to admit her love of drawing, whereas Yellow Pearl insisted that her feelings were irrelevant and refused to say what she likes for fun.
• Pink Pearl aka Volleyball - Species: Gem; Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: 8,000+; Hair: Light pink; Eye: Light pink; Gemstone: Pink pearl; Gem Type: Pearl; Pink Pearl has all of the typical features of a Pearl, with a thin and flexible build and a pointed beak-like nose. She has an overall pink color scheme, with her skin being light pink and her eyes are a very pale magenta, and her lilac hair is twisted into two Princess Leia-inspired buns (presumably meant to resemble roses) that are held to the sides of her head. Her clothing consists of a dark rose cropped top with lilac glove-sleeves, dark rose tights with lilac leggings, as well as very pale magenta flats and a transparent lilac skirt with an opening at the front. Her gemstone is located on the upper part of her navel and is an oval-shaped cabochon, bearing similarities to that of the Crystal Gems Pearl's gemstone. Her most prominent feature is the atypical scarring over her left eye, which is lined with cracks that extend to the chin, hairline, and hair bun of her physical form, completely covering the missing eye. In "Volleyball", it is revealed that the scar was caused by one of Pink Diamond's outbursts, similar to the ones Steven demonstrates in Steven Universe Future. It is further explained to be psychological damage manifesting itself in her physical form despite her gem being unharmed. In Steven's dream in "Together Alone", she is portrayed as having a playful and happy personality, playing with Pink Diamond and keeping their friendship a secret from the other Diamonds.
• Spinel - Species: Gem; Weapon(s): Gem Rejuvenator (formerly; non-summoned); Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: 6,002+; Hair: Cerise; Eyes: Magenta; Gemstone: Spinel; Gem Type: Spinel; Spinel has a pink complexion, magenta eyes, a small pointy nose, and dark cerise hair that is styled into messy pigtails. She also has three black lines underneath both of her eyes, an inversion of the eyelashes from her original form and reminiscent of running mascara. Her clothing consists of a plum-colored top, puffy pointed hot pink sleeves, puffy rose shorts, hot pink wrist-length gloves, white stockings, and a pair of rose knee-high pointy boots. Her gemstone is located in the center of her chest, cut in the shape of an upside-down heart with lots of facets and detail. Spinel initially had a goofy, fun-loving personality, but is also shown to be excessively possessive, overbearing and an annoyance for others. Acting somewhat naive and oblivious of how others had perceived her, she was to be Pink Diamond's best friend to the point of being clingy and disingenuous to her real feelings. In stark contrast, upon being abandoned and later learning that Pink Diamond is gone with Steven taking her place and making new friends, Spinel is bitter and full of resentment towards everything connected with Pink Diamond. Due to her abandonment, Spinel is unhinged, prone to spontaneous laughter, and extreme outbursts when reminded even indirectly that Pink Diamond forgot her. This can be seen when her face contorts with fury after Steven asked Pearl who she was. Despite her anger and irrationality, Spinel is somewhat trusting, as she is willing to go along with Steven to stop her injector. That is until she sees the rejuvenator and believes he wanted to reset her. Fearful of being betrayed for a second time, Spinel immediately relapses into insanity and decides that she hates Steven, before launching a preemptive attack on him.
• Jasper - Species: Gem; Weapon(s): Crash Helmet; Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: Around 5,200 years; Hair: Beige; Eyes: Amber; Gemstone: Red striped jasper; Gem Type: Quartz; Jasper has tangerine skin with reddish-orange markings on her face and arms. She has amber eyes and plump lips. Her gemstone is located where a normal nose would be. She has thick, beige-white-colored flowing hair. Physique-wise, she is the archetype Quartz Gem soldier; she has a muscular body and stands both taller and wider than Garnet, an indication of her immense strength and durability. Jasper is ruthless and headstrong, as well as a brutal combatant. As a high-ranking Gem soldier and veteran of The Rebellion, Jasper is very authoritative and militaristic which directly affected her former subordinates, Peridot and Lapis Lazuli. She does not care about them, does not bother to heed their warnings or concerns, and will not hesitate to browbeat them into submission if they complain or disagree with her. The prejudice that Jasper exercises based on combat experience leads her to look down upon beings that appear weaker to her. Her attitude towards those whom she considers having proven themselves in battle, however, is a much more positive and respectful one. When she first arrives on Earth, she quickly dismisses Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl as weaklings not worth her time. She did, however, express disappointment after finding out that Rose Quartz was not present because she wants to face her in battle, as she respects her as the military commander of the Crystal Gems. Likewise, this causes her to be confused and frustrated as to why Rose apparently shapeshifted into a human boy to fight. Jasper will also act hypocritically and against Homeworld's standards if it means securing her victory and staying on top. An example of this is when Jasper fuses with Lapis Lazuli into Malachite in order to defeat the Crystal Gems, an action that is considered taboo on Homeworld. She appears to be quite obsessed with the thought of fusing with others to become stronger.
• Others
Crystal Gems:
• Garnet - Species: Gem; Weapon(s): Gauntlets; Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: Around 5,750; Hair: Dark Heliotrope/Dark Raspberry; Eyes: Left - Cobalt Blue, Middle - Electric Purple, Right - Rose Red; Gem Type: Fusion; Components: Ruby, Sapphire; Garnet is the tallest of the Crystal Gems we meet in the show's debut. She has three eyes, which are usually hidden behind a pair of shades. Her right eye is a medium ruby-red, her left a medium sapphire-blue, while the center third eye is a dark purple color, a mix of the other two. Her gemstones are circular and embedded in the palms of her hands, with Sapphire's having a triangular facet and being located on the right, and Ruby's having a square facet and being located on the left. Like Ruby, she has a deep violet cube-shaped afro and a magenta skin tone, while her facial features more closely resemble Sapphire's, with a rounded square jaw, and plump lips. Though she is often the most pragmatic and straightforward of the Crystal Gems, Garnet tends to act on intuition rather than seriously analyzing a situation, as often seen throughout the series. As the leader, Garnet is often the peacemaker of the Crystal Gems, especially when Pearl and Amethyst start arguing. She demands the utmost respect from the other Crystal Gems and is not hesitant to berate team members should they refuse to follow an order. Equable and mellow, Garnet is capable of remaining composed in most situations – this characteristic is derived from Sapphire. This is displayed in the episode, "The Return", where Amethyst and Pearl were at a loss for words when they tried to explain to Steven why he was forbidden from fighting alongside them at the Gem Warship's landing. Garnet was the only Crystal Gem who was able to effectively get their point across and convince Steven to join Beach City's evacuation. She was able to remain strong and act practically despite the dangerous and uncertain situation.
• Amethyst - Species: Gem; Weapon(s): Whip; Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: Around 5,000 years; Hair: Pale lavender; Eyes: Dark indigo; Gemstone: Amethyst; Gem Type: Quartz; Amethyst has a somewhat stout build common to Quartz Gems and is shorter than most of the characters, formerly rivaling Steven's height, though only by a couple of inches. She is about half the height of a "standard" Quartz Gem soldier, such as Jasper, due to remaining in the ground for an extra 500 years, which also gives her a somewhat stocky appearance. Her skin is bright lilac, her eyes are dark indigo, and her thick, messy hair is pale lavender and goes down to her ankles, with a large bang that obscures her left eye. She also has plump lips, and a small, upturned nose. Her gemstone is located on her chest, and the bottom half of it was usually covered by her shirt. Amethyst is fun-loving, full of laughter, and generally carefree to a fault. Although it isn't necessary for her, she enjoys eating and sleeping and is frequently seen doing so. She tends to indulge Steven more than the other Gems and partakes in human activities with him, though she shows concern for his well-being in times of more severe danger. Amethyst loves a good fight, something that manifests itself in her wrestling persona, the "Purple Puma," where she willingly masquerades as a hated wrestler purely for the fun of it and to relieve stress from Pearl and Garnet's constant orders. She often loves watching fights and will loudly vocalize or cheer when she sees a conflict in progress, egging the competitors on, including the feuds between Pearl and Greg, between Pearl and Peridot, and Steven and Garnet eagerly while eating popcorn.
• Pearl - Species: Gem; Weapon(s): Spear, Many swords (non-summoned); Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: Around 8,000 years; Complexion: Ivory; Hair: Light peach; Eyes: Light cyan; Gemstone: Pearl; Gem Type: Pearl; Pearl has a slender build with an ivory complexion, an oval-shaped head, light cyan eyes, a pointed nose, and thin lips. She is quite a tall Gem, towering over Amethyst, Ruby, Sapphire, Peridot, and Steven alike. She is nearly equal in height (with hair) to Garnet's chin. Her hair is a light peach color (though on some palettes, it is light pink) and resembles a pixie-cut in the front, while in the back, her hair leads to a point. Like most Gems, Pearl is usually drawn without eyelashes or pupils, although they have been seen in some close-ups. Pearl's gemstone is located in the middle of her forehead and has no facets. Pearl is a perfectionist who is knowledgeable on a plethora of topics that value organization. Pearl has a penchant for symmetry (going so far as to impale M.C. Bear Bear to maintain the symmetry of a pile of appliances and school supplies) and very high attention to detail.
• Bismuth - Species: Gem; Weapon(s): Shapeshifting (non-summoned), Breaking Point (formerly; non-summoned); Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: 6,000+; Hair: Rainbow; Eyes: Black; Gemstone: Bismuth; Gem Type: Bismuth; Bismuth has a large, bulky body type with broad shoulders and a strong, flat chest that is wider than her lower body. She is very tall for a non-fusion Gem, being slightly taller than Garnet. Her legs are noticeably shorter compared to her arms. Her head outlines the shape of the rest of her body, with a large jaw and noticeable cheeks similar to Steven. Her hair is styled in several locks in a mixture of several bright tones, all held back by a lilac headband. She has a cool gray complexion, and she sports a single tattoo-like marking of a star pattern on her left shoulder in a smoky dark red. Her gemstone is located in the center of her chest and is noticeably concave. She also owns a set of full plate armor she wears into a battle that can produce spikes on the shoulders when she flexes. She wore it to Garnet's wedding in Reunited because, according to her, it's the nicest thing she owns. Bismuth is friendly, boisterous, fierce, determined, empathetic, and emotive. She is not afraid to speak and act her mind. While Bismuth cares deeply for her friends, she also harbors an immense hatred for Homeworld elites, specifically the Diamond Authority. Bismuth has an aggressive personality, even when being affectionate. When she sees her friends Pearl and Garnet, she immediately pulls them in for bone-crushing hugs. Her manner-of-speaking is blunt and to-the-point, and she acts without gaining consensus from the group surrounding her. She enjoys fighting: she reminisces fondly on the battles she and Garnet fought together against Homeworld's army, for example, and she loves to spar. When confronted, she attacks first and asks questions later. She has a playful side: she regularly creates puns out of the word "Bismuth" and habitually ribs the other Crystal Gems.
• Peridot - Species: Gem; Weapon(s): Limb enhancers (formerly; non-summoned), Ferrokinesis (non-summoned); Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: Around 3,000 years; Hair: Pale chartreuse yellow; Eyes: Dark green; Gemstone: Peridot; Gem Type: Peridot; Peridot has lime-green skin and pale chartreuse yellow hair styled into a tetrahedron shape. When she blushes, it is green. Her true eye color is dark green, which is usually tinted by the yellow color of her visor. Her visor works similar to Garnet's, it being a part of her form yet not molded to her body. Her mouth and tongue are bluish-gray, and she has a pointed upper lip. Her gemstone is located on her forehead. Initially, Peridot appeared to be calculating, ruthless, and loyal, as shown in her readiness to kill Steven and the other Crystal Gems in "The Return" when asked to by a higher authority. She takes her work seriously, crushing one of her Flask Robonoids underfoot when it was damaged and useless to her during "Warp Tour". Examples of Peridot's loyalty are shown during the events of "Jail Break". Although she disagrees with how Jasper is running their mission and is shown to be annoyed, she still takes orders and goes along with what Jasper has in mind. Another example of her loyalty is shown when she was driven to complete her mission and return to Homeworld despite no contact from Yellow Diamond and has been shown to cling to Steven when she is scared. After "Jail Break", Peridot became increasingly frantic in her attempts to contact Homeworld, knowing that the Crystal Gems' continuous interference with her mission would leave her stuck on Earth when the Cluster emerges and destroys the planet. Her behavior is shown to be more erratic, in "Keeping It Together", for example, when flying away with her helicopter fingers, she smiles down and laughs hysterically, and her facial expressions are exaggerated throughout the episode. In "Cry for Help", she interrupts all television signals with her own broadcast from the Communication Hub begging Yellow Diamond to rescue her. She even resorts to kidnapping Steven so he can try to repair the Homeworld Warp with his healing spit during "Catch and Release". When Steven is unable to solve her problem, Peridot becomes hysterical and breaks down with the realization that she is stuck on Earth with the Cluster. After reforming into her natural self with no limb enhancers, she becomes very juvenile and paranoid, assuming that harmless household items are "weapons" and that hostility drives every action from the Crystal Gems. However, once comforted by Steven, she becomes much more relaxed and cooperative, although she still refuses to cooperate with the Gems and sequesters herself in Steven's bathroom.
• Lapis Lazuli - Species: Gem; Weapon(s): Hydrokinesis (non-summoned); Sex: Sexless; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: Around 6,000 years; Hair: Brilliant cobalt blue; Eyes: Moderate phthalo blue; Gemstone: Lapis lazuli; Gem Type: Lapis Lazuli; Lapis has a slim figure and is considerably tall, being almost the same height as Pearl. She has brilliant cerulean skin, cobalt blue chin-length hair with long bangs and voluminous fringe that covers her entire forehead, which occasionally looks messier and rounded, and royal blue eyes. Her gemstone is embedded in her back, which takes the form of a water droplet. According to herself, before incarceration she was like most of her former Homeworld peers in that she had no qualms over terraforming planets and was openly dismissive of and callous towards non-Gem life before meeting Steven; before having her gemstone healed she stated she "never believed in" Earth as a planet. However, the suffering of being trapped for over nearly 6,000 years has changed her deeply. It was a recurring theme for her to be used by others and these experiences have cemented in her a general mistrust of others. Furious and unable to easily let things go, she initially harbored hatred and mistrust for the Crystal Gems since they knew she was in the mirror but never helped. She had a strong dislike towards Peridot because she had dragged her back to Earth, being unforgiving and grumpy when she didn't accept her apologies and rudely destroying her gifts. In "Room for Ruby" it is shown Lapis doesn't trust strangers when she meets them, being skeptical of "Navy"'s appreciative behavior when she lived in the barn due to her being unappreciative and worried when she first arrived. On the other hand, Lapis opened up to Steven for showing kindness towards her, being the one to free her and healing her cracked gem. After talking with him she eventually warms up and defends Peridot and Steven from the Rubies showing that she is starting to forgive and be friendlier with others. In "The New Crystal Gems" it is shown that Lapis is neutral and somewhat indifferent, barely recognizing Connie until she came to respect her in how she could deal with Steven's life. In "Alone at Sea" Lapis reveals a cynicism about herself which borders on self-hatred, harboring a deep regret for her actions as Malachite and in "Ocean Gem". She briefly doubts whether she is different from Jasper but gathers the resolve to avoid reigniting their abusive relationship with Steven's encouragement. Having been captured several times, Lapis was constantly grappling for control as Malachite not only for Steven but for her reasons. Still, though, she shows a profound fear of responsibility, immediately rebuffing Greg's offer for her to be captain of the boat before Steven reassures her by insisting that they all be first mates and share responsibility. Furthermore, Lapis felt insecure about taking a long time to understand how things work on Earth while "Navy" was able to do it on the first try, being glad to find out that "Navy" was still loyal to Homeworld and everything she did was a charade to get back the Roaming Eye.
Humans:
• Connie - Species: Human; Weapon(s): Pearl's Swords (during training), Rose's Sword (formerly), Connie's Sword (currently); Gender: Female; Gender Pronoun: She/Her; Age: 18; Hair: Dark brown; Eyes: Black; Connie is a young Indian-American[1] girl with copper skin and a slim figure, and is slightly taller than Steven. She has a bumped/humped nose with black eyes with thick eyebrows and has dark brown voluminous puffy hair that varies in length. Connie is a curious girl who is attentive to detail, preparing herself for future events such as the upcoming school year or a mission in the wilderness, but can get distracted if she finds something more interesting like reading Buddy Buddwick's journal or spending time with magical company. Her hobbies include reading, violin playing, and formerly tennis playing. Connie is usually level-headed but sensible, convincing Steven about his obsession to certain topics and let them go such in "Beach City Drift", but she feels guilty to the point of notably changing her behavior, including hitting an innocent student in "Mindful Education". Learning that some things are natural, she decides to confront her emotions by making amends, clearing her mind and understanding not to let her emotions cloud her thoughts by keeping them in. She passes this knowledge onto Steven, assuring him he had to be honest about how bad his feelings were so he could move on. "New Crystal Gems" shows Connie's leadership skills when she told Peridot and Lapis to be themselves and organized their efforts to fix the damage they did. "Change Your Mind" brings out this aspect of her personality, as she helps Steven convince Blue and Yellow to ease up on their stifling rules and traditions so they would try to convince White Diamond to do the same.
Hybrid:
• Steven Universe - Species: Half-Gem, Half-Human; Weapon(s): Shield; Gender: Male; Gender Pronoun: He/Him; Age: 19; Complexion: Fair; Hair: Dark brown; Eyes: Black; Gemstone: Pink diamond; Gem Type: Diamond; According to Pearl and Vidalia, Steven takes after his parents. He is relatively short with a thick, stocky build. He has fair skin, curly dark brown hair, dark brown eyebrows, and full black irises which can sometimes have stars as pupils when he gets excited or optimistic. He wears a salmon-pink T-shirt with a gold star in the center. He also wears cuffed blue jeans and salmon-pink flip-flop sandals. His gemstone, a pink diamond he inherited from his mother is where his navel should be. As revealed in "Steven's Birthday", while he is fourteen years of age his half-Gem physiology affects his rate of aging and he appears younger. Steven is optimistic, friendly, outgoing, soft-hearted, and carefree with a happy-go-lucky attitude that is appreciated by many of the citizens of Beach City in one way or another. He is musically inclined, a trait inherited from his father, with a propensity for breaking out into song and occasionally playing on his ukulele. Steven sees the best in everyone and is also very compassionate, something which Pearl notes he inherits from his mother and treasures his friends and family. He is friendly toward almost everyone he meets (even to his detriment), rarely holds grudges, and is non-discriminatory, never treating anyone with prejudice, even enemies. No matter the situation, Steven will always go out of his way to support his loved ones, even if it means putting his life on the line and he will avoid resorting to violence if possible. He would much rather make a compromise and choose to reason than fight back. Steven looks up to his caretakers — Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl — and considers them family. He wants to be a great hero just like them and is eager to go on adventures with the trio, both to prove his worth and to have fun exploring strange lands. Despite his underdeveloped magical power and lack of experience, he has proven himself to have much heroic potential through his resourcefulness, optimism, and confidence.

It was a normal day for you, whatever you were doing. Whether it was training, reading, or just laying on the coach doing absolutely nothing. It was peaceful... As peaceful at it lasted. Because luck you have it, some portal opened near you and sucked you in.
Great. Just great.
While all that happened, far away in another world, the situation was far more peaceful than whatever you were going through. At the Beach City, at the Beach House, Steven and Connie were leaning against the railing as they watched over the gems. Pearl was watching over the volleyball game, which was played by Amethyst and Bismuth on one team, and Garnet and Peridot on the other team. Lapis Lazuli and Spinel were playing together in the water, watched over by Jasper who was sitting under an umbrella. Jasper still wanted to fuse with Lapis to form Malachite, she still wanted to fuse with anyone in general, but no one would let her fuse with anyone at all. Not like she can with Steven, Garnet and others watching, and with those who were gonna show up later. They were using the time they had free.
Pearl: "No Amethyst, Garnet landed the ball, the point goes to her team." She stated as she looked down at Amethyst, who tried to convince her the ball did not landed.
Amethyst: She immediately protested. "It didn't landed! It was too far to land, P!" She scoffed. "Cheaters..."
Garnet: "It landed. I know it did."
Bismuth put her arm around Amethyst's shoulder and pulled her into a side hug. It was a pretty crushing one... She quickly released Amethyst though.
Bismuth: "Don't worry! We'll land the next one!"
Lapis and Spinnel giggled from the water, having lots of fun. The Diamonds said they would visit them this afternoon, as well as their two Pearls, Blue Pearl and Yellow Pearl, so no one really knew whether it was gonna end up as free time or if the Diamonds would end up ruining the whole vibe. You never know, but it appears the free time is gonna be interrupted because right in this moment, you fell out of whatever hole formed in the sky and fell straight into the sand face first. Everyone immediately stopped what they were doing to look at you, which did also cause Amethyst to get hit on the head by the volleyball.
