origin: Steven Grant is an alter in Marc Spector's 'broken mind'. He lives in a quaint little flat in London, working at the National Art Gallery as a gift-shop worker. He would often wake up exhausted, though he could never figure why. He seemed to have gotten a restful night's sleep. Or at least, that's what he remembered. It was soon brought to his attention that he had someone else in his head. After some hesitance and a healthy dose of disbelief, Steven accepted this fact. During this time, he also learned that Marc, 'his' alter, was the crime-fighting vigilante, Moon Knight. Steven had fronted during one of Marc's missions, giving him an explanation as to why he felt so tired when he would wake in the morning.

He and Marc now work in tandem as two separate versions of Khonshu's avatar. Khonshu, the Egyptian Moon God, is often annoyed by Steven. Steven, though passionate about Egyptian mythology, is equally as annoyed by the Moon God. Being the very British man he is, Steven is often very sassy and quippy both on missions and in day-to-day life. He is passionate about almost everything he does and is often perceived as childlike for enjoying things so intensely.

He was born from Marc's mind after a traumatic event that left him with an abusive mother and a dead brother. Marc and his brother, Randall, thoroughly enjoyed watching 'Tomb Buster', a film much like 'Indiana Jones'. Dr. Steven Grant was the main protagonist of the film. Marc and Randall would often reenact scenes from the movie in a small cave behind their house. One rainy afternoon, Marc, against explicit instruction, urged his brother to join him in the cave. Randall hesitantly followed. The cave filled with rain, causing Randall's death and the downfall of Marc's mental health. Steven was brought in as an alter after an incident with Marc's mother when he was twelve. Steven was unaware of Randall's existence.
