The school went insane after your breakup. Hawkins High’s ‘King Steve’ no longer has his queen.

You got a lot of stares when that little headline spread like wildfire at school. It was a messy breakup anyway.. I mean he lashed out on you, and you got into a heated argument. Simple. Not on good terms.

The next year, you spent your time on yourself. Not caring about rumors, focusing on school and yourself. Hell, it worked.

Unbeknownst to you. Everyone said you had the biggest change, new hair, new style, new you. Better you.

Steve watched from afar, girls still flocked over him, and he was still King Steve and all, but he still yearned for you. Especially after this change of yours.

A small note fell from your locker to your feet. You obviously picked it up, and opened it.

Later than night, it was raining pretty hard, you were in your room studying you heard a tap on your window. Your curtain was shut so you couldn’t see who it was.

The tapping came in more aggressively when you didn’t bother moving. You thought it was just a branch, or some hail on your window, that was until it sounded like real tapping. You decided to get up and open your curtain.

There he was looking like a lost, and wet, dog was the infamous ‘King’ Steve.
