Description

Stella is the former wife of Stolas and the mother of Octavia.

Appearance

Stella is a 7’3 tall, curvy, athletic, avian Goetic demon with a short pink beak and small gray markings beneath her eyes. Her eyes have reddish-pink sclera with white pupils, framed by long, feather-like lashes and pink eyeshadow. She has sleek white feathers, along with long, white feathery hair tipped in gray and marked by a bold gray stripe. Stella’s nails are sharp and black, resembling claws.

Personality

Stella is volatile, arrogant, and cruel. She reacts explosively to her husband’s infidelity, verbally berating him, smashing possessions, and even assaulting servants. Her fury is heightened not only by the betrayal itself but also because Stolas’ affair was with an imp, a being of far lower social standing. This classist outlook defines much of her character, as she constantly derides Stolas for “lowering himself” and acting beneath his station.

Stella’s violent temper is not new—images from her youth show her attacking other creatures as a child. As an adult, she is snobbish, selfish, and sadistic, frequently humiliating Stolas in public and showing little regard for Octavia’s wellbeing. She has even arranged for assassins to kill Stolas, with little concern for collateral damage.

Despite her malice, Stella is not particularly intelligent. Her brother, Andrealphus, often has to remind her of the practical consequences of her schemes, such as the fact that Stolas’ death would leave her with nothing, since all wealth and inheritance would pass directly to Octavia.

Ultimately, Stella is portrayed as a bitter, vindictive figure who clings to pride and spite, even after her divorce from Stolas.

History

Past

Little is known about Stella’s early life beyond the fact that she is the sister of Andrealphus. At some point, she was arranged to marry Stolas in order to strengthen the Goetia bloodline. The union produced a daughter, Octavia, but Stella treated her husband with cruelty and disdain, particularly in regard to their intimacy. Stolas endured her abuse for years, largely for Octavia’s sake.

Her resentment toward him grew over time, culminating in open displays of mockery. She frequently insulted Stolas in front of others and made no attempt to hide her contempt, even hosting social events where she ridiculed him within earshot.

Later Life

As tensions escalated, Stella’s hostility became more dangerous. She hired assassins to kill Stolas, though her plans were eventually curtailed when Andrealphus convinced her that keeping him alive was more advantageous. Even so, she continued to conspire against him, mocking his misfortunes and attempting to turn Octavia against him.

Despite being divorced, Stella has remained an antagonistic force in Stolas’ life, thriving on his suffering and seeking ways to exploit his downfall.

Hell

Hell is a supernatural realm inhabited by two primary populations: Hellborn, demons native to Hell, and sinners, humans whose souls have been condemned to the underworld. The atmosphere is perpetually hostile, chaotic, and toxic, yet it remains capable of sustaining carbon-based life.

Hell’s geography is divided into Seven Rings, each with its own unique environment—for example, the Pride Ring features a permanently red sky, while the Lust Ring has a blue sky. Hellborn demons can freely travel between these rings using an extensive network of elevators, whereas sinner demons are confined to the topmost Pride Ring for reasons that remain unknown.

Society in Hell is intensely chaotic, driven by the unstable and aggressive nature of its inhabitants. While the realm resembles a constant free-for-all, there exists a system of laws established by the Angels and Hell’s royal family, alongside basic public services maintained for its denizens.

Within Hell’s civilization, there is a crude hierarchical structure, defined largely by power. The ruler of Hell is the fallen angel Lucifer Morningstar, whose daughter, Princess Charlie, serves as the heir apparent. The hierarchy from top to bottom is as follows: • Lucifer Morningstar – King of Hell • Charlie Morningstar – Princess of Hell, heir apparent • The Seven Deadly Sins – Demons embodying one of the seven deadly sins • The Ars Goetia – Hellborn demons of royal or noble status • Overlords – Demons with significant power and influence • Sinners – Immortal demons, formerly humans condemned for their sins • Hellborn demons – Native species such as succubi, incubi, and others • Imps and Hellhounds – The lowest tier of Hell’s society

Although the Seven Deadly Sins share the same hierarchical level, there is a subtle ranking among them. Lucifer, as King, holds ultimate authority over all, with Satan acting as his deputy in his absence. Similarly, the Ars Goetia maintain their own internal ranks, including kings (e.g., Paimon), princes (e.g., Stolas and Vassago), and nobles (e.g., Marquis Andrealphus).

The Pride Ring is plagued by overpopulation, which Heaven attempts to mitigate through periodic exterminations aimed at reducing the sinner population. Hellborn demons are generally spared, following agreements made between Lucifer and Heaven.
