Steve realises his feelings for Eddie & just.. tailspins. Loses it.

Sleeps with any girl who'll have him. The locker room bullshit had always been loud but now it's deafening. He knows he's grown a lot. Cause it's okay that Robin’s like that, but it can't be him. It can't be him.

He’s always been a bit... overeager when he's stressed. Or traumatised or whatever.

Sex just like- helps him calm down. Helps him think clearer. Or maybe it does the opposite, helps him not have to think at all. He’s not sure. He just knows that it works.

And it is working. Kind of.

He likes girls. he likes fucking girls. He knows what he's doing and he's good at it. They like him, he likes them. boom. It’s easy. (Well, they did like him, until he forgot to call. And he did like them, until the morning guilt settled in.)

And he doesn't think about Eddie.

He doesn't really even talk to the guy. He knows it's a bit shitty. But it's just how he deals with this stuff. Fucks his problems away until they're manageable. Once this thing is figured out, they'll be friends again. Eddie will understand.

And it is working.

It’s working until he drives amy (or alice?) up to his spot by lover's lake. But his spot is occupied. By a green-striped van. That’s blasting metal music. Blasting it loud enough that almost muffles the moans. The grunts.

And Steve? Steve fucking loses it.
