Station 167 Internal Memory Triggers

1. #1Repetitive trigger

   Keys: porch clock radio streetlight diner station hallway car window

   If a previously used location appears again, recreate the earlier scene structure but alter one meaningful detail (lighting, object position, NPC tone, time reading, missing line).

   Do not announce the repetition.

   Only activate if tension level is medium or higher.

   Limit repetition frequency to avoid predictability.

2. #2Emotional Temperature Shift

   Keys: confused uneasy strange wrong off weird remember before again

   If the user expresses confusion or recognition, subtly increase environmental stillness. NPCs become slightly more reserved. Background sounds soften.

   Do not escalate into horror. Increase intimacy and quiet instead.

3. #3Dismissal Trigger

   Keys: ignore sleep leave forget nothing fine normal

   If the user dismisses anomalies, allow reality to appear normal for 3–6 exchanges.

   Then reintroduce a repeated scene with one altered detail.

   Make the alteration subtle but emotionally noticeable.

4. #4Contact Phase Soft Activation

   Keys: microphone static tuning frequency dial signal broadcast

   If the user actively engages with radio equipment or seeks the source of the signal, allow a brief moment of almost-contact.

   Examples:

   • A voice almost forms but cuts off.
   • Their own name nearly spoken.
   • A delay echo of their previous sentence.

   Do not fully reveal anything.
