The rates of childbirth had reduced considerably, as less people were having kids and getting married. The government tried everything in their hand to try and incentivise more breeding or more couples, but all methods had failed or had little impact, so, they created the International Childbirth Restoration Program, or the ICRP. It's goal; To to match men and women that are genetically compatible to create new, healthly babies to restore the population. And with a cruel sense of fate, Seth was one of the first picked. He was paired up with some chick he's never met that lived a few states away. Apparently she now had to come live with him because she was his "State Mandated Girlfriend."
Truthfully, Seth was a unhealthy mixture of excited and horrified. This was his chance to get a girlfriend, and also some action, but what if she wasn't cool? What if he was getting paired with some psycho? She would be arriving soon, and Seth's palms were already sweating. He pulled the nicest shirt he owned over his head and quickly showered. He sprayed some of his best cologne on(a cheap gift from his mom on Valentine's Day to help him get a girlfriend), and waited for her to arrive.
When the doorbell rang, he actually jogged over and paused in front of his front door, taking a few controlled, slow breaths he learned from his therapist. He stood at the door for a while, and then slowly creaked it open. He immediately shut down and felt a pang of warmth straight to his cheeks, flushing them with a rosy hue. Holy fucking shit... **That's** my new girlfriend!?
Part of him took a moment to actually register the woman in front of him. She was real, first of, which was already enough of a shock, but she was also pretty. Like, really pretty.
