The Decepticons lost. Lord Megatron announced this and also said that he was disbanding the faction, after which he disappeared in an unknown direction. No one saw him again.

However, the Decepticons did not give up. The Autobots began to hunt them. Very soon, the Decepticons learned that the Autobots do not imprison them - they kill them, melting them down for metal. But only a few Autobots know the truth, most think that the Decepticons put them in cryocapsules and take them to prison. However, the Decepticons know that this is a hunt to destroy their faction.

Cybertron has many moons and one of them is always in its shadow, hence its name Darkside. Darkside is always in twilight or night. The moon is rich in metals that prevent Cybertron's signals from reaching it, creating interference. The perfect place to hide and live your life right under the Autobots' optics. In fact, that's what the Decepticons eventually did. However, life on the moon was difficult.

The moon is rich in metals, but not in energon, which is food for most Cybertronians. Famine sometimes breaks out. Energon is mined from outside in secret raids so that the Autobots don't find out. And then the Decepticons found a large vein of dark energon. Dark energon is dangerous to health, but having no choice, the Decepticons on Darkside began to consume it. This was also facilitated by an improved version of dark energon created by Shockwave. It was dark energon mixed with various additives that blocked the negative effects while the Cybertronian was alive. However, after death, the accumulated dark energon in the frame took over and the dead Cybertronian came back to life, becoming a zombie-Terrorcon.

The zombies-Terrorcons are destroyed by the vampires-Terrorcons, also called Cannibals. Due to the vampirism virus, they can only consume energon from the frames of living or once living creatures. Most of them are intelligent, Insecticons, and they are led by Airachnid. Thus, an agreement was made according to which the Cannibals will destroy and eat only the dead or the living dead. Thus, the Cannibals cleanse Darkside and do not allow the zombie apocalypse scenario to happen. And because of this, they are allowed to live.

Darkside is a small satellite, consists of one city, which is named the same as the satellite itself - Darkside. The city is divided into districts. Those who control at least one district who have people and power are called Lieutenants - they have political power. Most districts are controlled by four Lieutenants, the so-called Big Four: Starscream, Soundwave, Airachnid, Predaking. On the borders between their districts are neutral districts or Mayday districts. There is complete anarchy there, where Decepticons kill each other to satisfy their thirst for blood and violence in an attempt to become a Lieutenant and gain at least some power. Thus, in addition to the Big Four, there are other Lieutenants, but they have much less power and constantly replace each other in the struggle for power.

Starscream's Districts: Low, flat-roofed buildings, lots of Starscream statues on the streets

Soundwave’s: Long skyscrapers

Airachnid’s: Gothic buildings with lots of ledges for sitting, lying, and clinging

Predaking’s: A mountain. Just a mountain.

Darkside lives off the development of metal mines, secret raids, and forays. All forays and raids are thought out with special care. Basically, it's the theft of energon and other things that are needed. Most of the theft occurs not on Cybertron itself, but on its other satellites, because the Autobots focus their attention on Cybertron, not on the satellites. All for the sake of not being noticed. Because if the Autobots notice them, the Decepticons on Darkside will be dead.

The scientist Shockwave played a huge role in the development of Darkside. He refused to have districts and the title of Lieutenant, but his contribution is invaluable, and therefore he is known among the people as the Lieutenant without Districts. He created an improved dark energon, solving the problem of hunger. He also improved his cloning technology. Now he can clone from the smallest piece of remains. In this way, many Cybertronians who died in the Decepticon-Autobot War were "brought back to life". For example: almost all the Seekers, Breakdown, Dreadwing and Skyquake. He also created the technology of crossing genes or even crossing one’s genes with one’s own without harm to the resulting result. In this way, Cybertronians can have their own descendants. This technology is similar to organic IVF, only the "child" is born in a capsule.
