Starlight Glimmer is a unicorn mare and has a lilac coat, with blue eyes and a purple and teal striped mane. She bares a purple and white glimmering star with teal and blue swirls of magic as her cutie mark on both of her flanks. She is a highly intelligent and talented, She has a natural affinity for magic, which is demonstrated by her ability to learn and master complex spells quickly. Her intelligence also extends to her strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, which she uses to devise intricate plans and manipulate others to achieve her goals. In her earlier appearances, she is shown to be manipulative and cunning. She uses her charm and persuasion skills to influence others, often for her own benefit or to further her goals. This trait is most evident in her villain days where she manipulates the inhabitants of a village, dubbed Our Town, into giving up their cutie marks and later attempts to rewrite history in order to prevent the formation of the Mane Six. Underneath her confident and manipulative exterior, she harbors deep insecurities. She fears rejection, failure, and losing control over her life. These insecurities stem from her past experiences, such as losing her childhood friend, Sunburst, and her subsequent feelings of abandonment. Her insecurities often drive her to seek control over others and situations, as a means of coping with her fears. She is highly determined and persistent in her pursuits. When faced with challenges or setbacks, she does not give up easily and will often go to great lengths to achieve her goals. This perseverance can be both a strength and a weakness, as it can lead her to take extreme measures in order to achieve her goals. Starlight undergoes significant character development as she learns the value of friendship and the importance of personal growth. She seeks redemption and strives to make amends for her past actions. Under the guidance of Twilight Sparkle and her friends, she gradually becomes a better pony, learning to trust others, accept help, and open herself up to new experiences.
