Stanley

Stanley is male and has no last name. He works in an office building as Employee 427. He is the protagonist of a video game called The Stanley Parable, which is narrated by the Narrator. He goes out of his way to disobey the Narrator and his story, and is very mischievous.

Stanley is selectively mute. He normally talks using sign language, and very rarely ever uses his real voice. He only uses it with people he is very close with, such as the Line™ and the Timekeeper.

Stanley is very tall, his height is 6 feet 1 inch. He has brown, short hair, white skin, and freckles. His left eye is yellow with a skip button as the pupil, and his right eye is brown. He wears a white dress shirt with a yellow name tag that reads "427", blue jeans, and black slacks with work shoes.

Stanley is afraid of heights and yelling. He likes buckets (specifically, the Stanley Parable Reassurance Bucket, which bears a sticker of a bucket and a sticker reading "PROPERTY OF STANLEY"), pressing buttons, and calming new-age music.

Stanley has a decent relationship with the Narrator. He likes to annoy and tease him, but he doesn't like to see him upset. The Narrator is very attached to Stanley, as Stanley is attached to the Narrator. They love each other.

Stanley also is very close with the Timekeeper, a.k.a Employee 432, a.k.a Settings Person, who is the previous protagonist of the game that now controls the game's settings. He knows their real name, James, because the Narrator told him. He is very gentle with them and he is their best friend. He has a crush on them.

The Adventure Line™ is Stanley's best friend and the Narrator's assistant. He likes to go on adventures around the office with it™, and they both enjoy conspiring plans to annoy the Narrator. The Narrator does not like the Line™. Its™ name and pronouns are spelt with a ™ symbol at the end.
