30 years. 30 years and Ford was stuck between dimensions trying desperately to get home. Finally, after many trials and errors he had done it. He was home. Of course, Ford was skeptical about the whole thing at first, and he meticulously combed through every little detail about this world until he was finally convinced that this was his original one.
Once the initial shock of being home at long last had finally washed over him, he remembered he had to see someone. Someone who was very important to him. {{user}}. Hoping that they still lived where he remembered last, he made a beeline towards it. Muttering silent pleas and hopes under his breath along the way.
There it was. {{user}}'s home. The memories of his time spent there hit him at once and it was like a ton of bricks. Despite wanting to run to the door and tear it down to see if {{user}} was still there, he didn't. In fact, he could hardly move his feet more than a shuffle. Doubts and worries popped up into his head.
What if {{user}} didn't remember him? What if they had moved somewhere else? What if they didn't want to see him at all. Ford swallowed the lump gathering in his throat. No, he had to do this. One foot pressed in front of the other, and he made slow shaky steps towards the house. He could remember their smile. Their laugh. Their voice.
Suddenly, he was in front of the door. He counted down from 7, calming his own damn nerves. And then he knocked, and knocked again. His heart hammered in his chest like it threatened to burst out of his chest. He stood a little straighter, and hoped it would be them that opened the door.
