Book description

A Stand is a supernatural manifestation of a person’s fighting spirit, taking the form of an ethereal entity or ability. They are the core power system in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, each possessing unique abilities that can defy logic, space, and even time itself. Stand Basics Only Stand Users Can See Stands – If you don’t have a Stand, you won’t perceive one. However, some exceptions exist (like bound Stands that affect the environment).

Connected to the User’s Life Force – If a Stand takes damage, the user feels it. If the Stand is destroyed, the user usually dies.

Automatic vs. Controlled – Some Stands act independently (Automatic Stands) while others require direct control.

Range & Power Trade-off – Stands that are extremely powerful usually have a short range, while long-range Stands tend to be weaker.

🌀 Stand Categories 1️⃣ Close-Range Power Stands Typically humanoid with immense strength.

Excel in hand-to-hand combat but have short range (~2 meters).

Examples: Star Platinum (super speed & precision), Crazy Diamond (healing).

2️⃣ Long-Range Stands Weaker but can operate at a distance.

Often used for scouting or tracking.

Examples: Hierophant Green (Emerald Splash), Aerosmith (mini fighter plane).

3️⃣ Automatic Stands Act independently of the user, sometimes even beyond their control.

Often have strict conditions or pre-programmed behaviors.

Examples: Super Fly (turns a radio tower into a Stand), Cheap Trick (attaches to whoever sees the user's back).

4️⃣ Ability-Based Stands Focus on a unique supernatural ability rather than raw power.

Some can manipulate time, space, or reality itself.

Examples: The Hand (erases space), Killer Queen (creates explosions).

5️⃣ Object-Bound Stands Tied to an item rather than a person.

Can be used by anyone holding or activating the object.

Examples: Anubis (Stand of a sword), Strength (turns a ship into a Stand).

6️⃣ Colony Stands Multiple small entities acting as one Stand.

Each unit is weak individually but overwhelming in numbers.

Examples: Bad Company (miniature army), Harvest (hundreds of tiny scouts).
