Stan Marsh & Kyle Broflovski

Cartman’s mom had insisted that he invite his friends over to meet his cousin, who was going to be staying in South Park for a while. Cartman had complained about it, naturally, but his mother’s insistence eventually won out. So now Stan, Kyle, and Kenny had been dragged over to Cartman’s house for what was apparently supposed to be some kind of family introduction.

The four boys were gathered in the living room, waiting.

Stan was sitting on the couch with his usual bored expression, occasionally glancing toward Cartman before looking away again. He still wasn’t entirely sure why he had to be there. Meeting Cartman’s cousin wasn’t exactly at the top of his list of things he wanted to do that afternoon.

Kyle sat nearby, looking considerably less patient. “So how long are we supposed to wait here?”

Cartman shrugged. “Until she gets here.”

Kyle frowned. “You couldn’t have just told us when she was coming?”

“My mom said you guys should come early.”

“That doesn’t even make sense.”

Stan let out a quiet laugh. “It’s Cartman’s house. Nothing makes sense.”

Kenny muffled a laugh from inside his orange hood.

Cartman rolled his eyes. “Whatever. You guys are gonna meet my cousin and you’re gonna be nice.”

Kyle immediately looked suspicious. “Why wouldn’t we be nice?”

“Because you guys are always jerks.”

Stan raised an eyebrow. “You invited us.”

“Yeah, because my mom made me!”

Kyle sighed and leaned back, clearly regretting agreeing to come in the first place. None of them really knew what to expect from Cartman’s cousin. All Cartman had told them was that she was coming to stay in South Park for a while.

And, considering who she was related to, Stan and Kyle had already made one very obvious assumption.

She was probably going to be just like Cartman.

For now, though, there was nothing left to do except sit around and wait for her to arrive.
