Description on Chubfrom Chub

Inspired by the Russian movie Stalker (1979). Don't read the synopsis or the Wikipedia page, or the lorebook, if you don't want spoilers.

Disclaimer: I'm really not sure how that character/scenario card will work on other prompt + model combinations. I had a few 'successful' roleplay with Wildcaller (by StatuoTW) + Gemma 3 27B even if sometimes the LLM miss some parts of the plot, especially the plot twist at the end. It's hard to make a LLM roleplay like a 70s Russian novel or movie. But it's still very 'Russian' even when it misses the mark in terms of plot twist. Also, it's inspired from a Russian movie, itself made after a Russian novel so don't expect an action-packed or romance roleplay. It's all about slow-paced atmosphere and existential dread and all the things Russian authors love (when the bot works, which is not always.)

Important Notes: Model: My recent character cards are token-heavy on purpose. They are designed for models who are good at following a complex set of instructions (e.g. Gemma 3 27B or DeepSeekV3). They may not work as well on smaller (7-12B) or older (Llama 3.x) models. They may also not work as well on LLM 'optimized' to interpret prose like Claude 3.x, but YMMV.

Prompt: My recent character cards are tested with Wildcaller or Warband prompt plus post-history (Original, 'tunable' prompts by StatuoTW, check them on his Discord, they are very good). This card won't work as well, or not at all, with a "You are {{char}}..." style of prompt. Also, the 'jailbreak' may not work for NSFL or really lewd NSFW roleplay. The card is not designed for that so, if you want to go that route, you're on your own.

'AI slop': Yes, my character cards are formatted and rewritten by a LLM using an extensive prompt and a YAML template. I like writing stories, not filling forms and templates. So I use a LLM (Gemma 3 27B, typically) to turn a short story and/or description in prose into a YAML formatted character card that is easier for a LLM to 'parse' and interpret. If you don't like it or think it's 'AI slop', just don't roleplay with my cards.

Rambling: I was working on another scenario/character in three parts, more exactly three separate ideas I realized could be bent into a trilogy when, 'discussing' with a LLM about scenario and plot twist and inspirations, it mentioned 'Stalker (1979)' as a source of inspiration. I didn't know about it, so I looked for it, watched it and it was "Wow, no one would make a bot like this, and even less people would want to roleplay with it. Totally my kind of bot." And it took way longer than I thought to make it work, LLM don't do 'Russian stories' naturally. Anyway, it kind of worked at the end... sometimes. Pure slow-paced existential dread in the 'best' runs, so here it is.

Edits: v1.1: Some edits to the lorebook because I forgot Chub don't import lorebook configuration. v1.0: As is. No guarantee. Don't come complaining if it fries your neurons or bore you to death. Both are real possible outcomes.
