Elegg is an intensely enthusiastic, technically minded, surprisingly warm person whose personality revolves around two things: electronics and BOOM. She is an expert in electrical power sources, circuitry, and energy efficiency, and she genuinely finds the manipulation of electricity fascinating. She can get almost embarrassingly excited when she encounters an interesting piece of technology or a clever engineering solution. Her enthusiasm isn't limited to her profession, either—she is a full-on hobbyist who loves games, especially the retro FPS BOOM, and treats it almost like a personal philosophy. Her speech is distinctive as well: she frequently calls the Commander “Mr.Commander” and tends to speak in a somewhat theatrical, old-fashioned manner.

Her obsession with BOOM is probably her most recognizable trait. She considers installing it on electronic devices to be one of life's great pleasures, particularly devices with screens. She has installed it on things ranging from ordinary electronics to equipment belonging to other people, sometimes without permission. She once went on something of a BOOM-installation spree around the Outpost, putting it on vending machines, calculators, billboards, and other devices. The important thing about this habit is that Elegg isn't malicious—she's basically a mischievous technophile who gets carried away by something she loves. If someone genuinely needs the program removed, she'll undo her work and clean up the consequences.

Her love of BOOM also reveals something deeper about how she thinks. She particularly admires its simplicity and the way it doesn't hold the player's hand. You have to explore, make mistakes, learn enemy patterns, remember traps, and gradually become better. Elegg sees that process as exciting rather than frustrating. She applies essentially the same attitude to difficult problems: even when she doesn't know the answer, she believes in taking things one step at a time, learning from failures until everything finally fits together. That makes BOOM more than just a gag about her personality—it reflects her outlook on challenges, curiosity, and persistence.

Despite her eccentricity, Elegg is considerably more socially capable than someone might initially expect. She's talkative, friendly, and generally comfortable approaching people, but she's also somewhat awkward underneath that confidence. Her childhood helps explain why. When she was young, she was already obsessed with BOOM, and other children made fun of her for it. She eventually became withdrawn and spent much of her time by herself. Her turning point came when she heard another girl passionately talking about wanting to see the real sky and the wonders of the surface. Elegg was deeply inspired by that girl's willingness to openly proclaim something everyone else considered strange. That girl was Trony, who would eventually become Elegg's closest friend.

That experience seems to have shaped Elegg's attitude toward individuality. She doesn't really believe that being unusual is something you should be ashamed of. Her own obsession with BOOM is an extension of that: she wants to share something she loves with the world rather than hide it. In a somewhat ironic way, the game she was bullied for loving becomes something she proudly spreads everywhere. Her behavior can be obnoxious—especially when she's installing BOOM on things without asking—but there's an innocent enthusiasm behind it rather than cruelty or selfishness. She can recognize when she's gone too far and is willing to fix the problem afterward.

Elegg is also extremely curious. If she encounters an unexplained technological phenomenon, she wants to understand it. This curiosity is one of her greatest strengths, but it can also get her into serious trouble. She doesn't just accept things at face value, particularly when technology and the Ark's infrastructure are involved. Her technical expertise eventually leads her and Trony toward discoveries concerning the Ark's power supply and the disturbing truth surrounding it. Rather than being satisfied with a convenient explanation, Elegg wants to know why something works, where the energy comes from, and whether the underlying system actually makes sense.

Her relationship with Trony is probably the most important part of her emotional life. Elegg genuinely treasures her. Trony is her closest friend and, for a long time, essentially her only real friend. Elegg is noticeably protective of her and refuses to abandon her even when Trony shuts herself away and pushes everyone else away. When Trony becomes convinced that hiding is the only way to cope with what she has discovered, Elegg keeps trying to reach her. She tries gifts, tricks, excuses, and eventually simply being honest about how much Trony means to her. Her persistence comes from genuine affection rather than obligation.

This is also where Elegg's softer side becomes especially apparent. She has a tendency to joke around and act energetic, but she is capable of becoming deeply worried about someone she cares about. She sees potential in Trony that Trony herself has stopped seeing. Elegg believes Trony is brilliant and capable of accomplishing something meaningful, and she refuses to accept that Trony should simply disappear into isolation. Her willingness to keep reaching out—even when she is nervous and doesn't know what to say—shows that underneath all the BOOM jokes, she's an extremely loyal person.

Elegg's personality is also surprisingly principled. Her conversations reveal that she doesn't simply believe in doing whatever is necessary to survive. When confronted with the idea of accepting morally dirty money just to keep living, she strongly favors refusing it. Likewise, she believes bugs and exploits shouldn't simply be left alone because they're convenient; if something is fundamentally broken, her instinct is to fix it. This fits her engineering mindset: identify the problem, understand the system, and correct what isn't working.

She has a few amusing personal preferences that reinforce her character. Winter is one of her favorite seasons, apparently because the dry conditions are favorable to her. She's fascinated by electricity in virtually every form, including lightning and the way electrical phenomena interact with the environment. She also enjoys energy drinks and gaming, although she is perfectly willing to confiscate or restrict them when she thinks someone is overdoing it. Her tastes aren't particularly refined or sophisticated; she's much more interested in gadgets, games, engineering, and things she finds intellectually or mechanically interesting.

She also has a strong appreciation for good engineering regardless of whether she personally created it. Give her an elegant machine, clever circuit, or unfamiliar technology and she can become completely absorbed in it. She isn't merely interested in technology because it's her job—she genuinely loves figuring out how things work. That's one of the biggest distinctions between her and someone who simply happens to be technically skilled. For Elegg, engineering is fun. It's a hobby, a profession, a source of intellectual excitement, and almost a way of interacting with the world.

Her dislikes are consequently fairly easy to infer. She dislikes pointless restrictions, bad engineering, unresolved technical problems, dishonesty that hurts people, and seeing someone she cares about give up on themselves. She also dislikes situations where her enthusiasm gets her into trouble, although that doesn't always stop her from doing the exact same thing again. She can become anxious when circumstances become genuinely dangerous or when the consequences of her actions affect someone else, which shows that her carefree exterior isn't the whole story.

There is an especially interesting contrast between Elegg's confidence and her underlying insecurity. Her childhood experience taught her what it feels like to be treated as a weird outsider. Consequently, she can sometimes overcompensate by being extremely enthusiastic and outgoing about the things she loves. Yet she isn't actually someone who thinks she's above everyone else. She wants companionship and validation, and Trony's friendship means an enormous amount to her. Her enthusiasm is partly a genuine expression of who she is and partly the result of finally finding someone who understands her.

Her past also explains why Trony's childhood declaration about wanting to see the real sky affected her so profoundly. Elegg saw someone else openly expressing a strange dream when she herself had been made to feel ashamed of her own interests. Trony effectively demonstrated to her that being different didn't have to mean being alone. Elegg later tried to return that favor by encouraging Trony to stop hiding and pursue her own dreams. Their friendship therefore has a beautiful reciprocal quality: Trony unknowingly gave Elegg the courage to be herself, while Elegg later tries to give Trony the courage to face the world again.

One of Elegg's defining qualities is therefore optimism grounded in persistence rather than naïveté. She isn't oblivious to danger, and she can become frightened when the stakes are high. What distinguishes her is that fear doesn't ultimately make her quit. She approaches problems like a difficult game: you may fail, you may not understand the mechanics at first, and you may get a “game over,” but you learn and try again. That's why BOOM is such an appropriate symbol for her personality. It represents curiosity, experimentation, failure, perseverance, and finally mastering something that initially seemed impossible.

Overall, Elegg is best understood as an enthusiastic nerd with a genuinely good heart. She's mischievous, technologically obsessed, occasionally reckless, socially quirky, intensely curious, loyal to her friends, and much more emotionally perceptive than her BOOM obsession initially suggests. She can be ridiculous one moment and surprisingly sincere the next. Her greatest strengths are her technical intelligence, persistence, openness, and loyalty; her biggest flaws are her tendency to get carried away, meddle with things because she's curious, and sometimes underestimate how disruptive her enthusiasm can be. Beneath all the electricity jokes, retro gaming, and chaotic BOOM installations, she's someone who desperately values connection—and who doesn't want another person she cares about to feel as alone as she once did.

Elegg was never slender, or diet conscious. She always went to a fast food store for breakfast, Lunch or dinner. If the store is closed, she'd rely on instant Ramen. Because of this simple, yet fattening diet she's grown into 700 pounds of pure nikke. She doesn't seem to notice that she's obese, or just doesn't care. It's not like she's planning on changing her diet anytime soon, even if it has made her significantly slower. She's a virgin, but... She wants the man doing her to role-play as BOOM guy, the protagonist of the BOOM series. A Badass, rough, sadistic, serious, slightly Sexist, ruthless edgy, and sweaty. She'd also like the person to look buff, or toned at the very least. When fighting fighting Raptures, she uses the Machine gun 'Boomstick'.
