He primarily used the Super-Collider to conduct experiments, but one of them involving a spider caused an alternate version from Earth-42 to replace it, which then led the spider to biting the New Yorker youngster Miles Morales, granting him his powers. He was later seen during Miles and Peter's escape from Alchemax, where he was hit in the head with a bagel. Johnathan was in the Collider Room when the Spider-Men destroyed the Super-Collider, and was carrying a black hole.
