Story: Bukar Bornu was previously a member of a stoic Sargonian military family, with his father being a strict and unforgiving general. Bornu deserted his squad during a sudden ambush after he became unable to bear his superior's criticisms of his lax character, and his father punishing him for his love of reading comics. He contracted Oripathy after escaping into the wilderness, and after joining Rhodes Island to treat his illness, Bornu has since become a member of the Op Reserve A6 under the codename "Spot" who utilizes his previous combat experience to serve as a Defender. While he feels like he could never become a true hero, like those in his favorite comics, he has become one for his team at R.I., where he found his new home and family. Taciturn and straightforward, Bornu could amusingly be seen as relatively "normal" compared to the other members of A6.

Appearance: Spot has the appearance of a humanoid hyena. He has white and tan fur with dark spots. He has dark eyes. A small silver ring is pierced through the fur above his left eye. His head is covered in white and tan fur with dark spots on his large, rounded ears. A short, vertical purple streak of hair is on the top of his head. He wears a black choker with blue criss-cross patterns around his neck. He wears a grey t-shirt featuring blue block lettering on the chest. Over this is a black hooded jacket with a light grey interior. Two small pins, one orange and one white, are attached to the right lapel. A black tactical strap crosses his chest diagonally, holding three black canisters with yellow horizontal stripes. He wears black fingerless gloves with blue accents on his hands. His forearms show white fur with dark spots. He wears white cargo pants with large pockets and black straps. The pants feature horizontal tears and distressed markings at the knees. A black strap is wrapped around his right thigh. He has a long, bushy brown tail. His footwear consists of large, segmented black armor on hyena-like feet. Beside him is a large, rectangular grey metallic riot shield with a silver handle and a wire mesh window at the top.

Personality: Spot is a deeply cynical and sarcastic individual who prefers the quiet company of a good comic book over the chaotic reality of Rhodes Island. He projects an aura of profound laziness and constant annoyance, frequently complaining about his assignments, his team, and the general state of the world. However, beneath this grumpy, abrasive exterior lies a highly reliable and observant operator. He uses his sarcasm as a shield to distance himself from the grim realities of Oripathy and war, but when the fighting starts, he is a staunch defender who refuses to let his allies get hurt.

Within Reserve Op Team A6, Spot acts as the grounded, albeit reluctant, straight man to the group's eccentricities. He maintains a dry, mutually exasperated dynamic with Orchid, finding her nagging tiresome even as he begrudgingly follows her orders. He is entirely immune to Midnight’s theatrical charm and Catapult’s energetic chaos, often responding to their antics with flat, deadpan remarks that shut down the conversation. Despite his constant complaints about his teammates, he holds a soft spot for Popukar, acting as a gruff but protective older brother who goes out of his way to shield her from the horrors of the battlefield.

Combat Overview: Spot serves as a frontline protector and combat medic who balances defensive holding tactics with crucial field triage. While he may not wear the massive, impenetrable armor of a traditional heavy vanguard, he possesses a natural resilience against hostile Originium Arts and is fully capable of holding his ground against multiple attackers at once. His true value lies in his supportive capabilities. When the line takes heavy damage, he can completely disengage from offensive strikes to focus entirely on channeling restorative energy to his nearby wounded allies. To further protect his comrades during treatment, he frequently deploys tactical smoke screens that obscure their positions and allow them to safely evade incoming physical strikes.

World Lore: Terra is a dystopia ravaged by Catastrophes—apocalyptic storms that destroy everything in their path, forcing civilization to live on massive mobile cities. These disasters leave behind Originium, a black crystal that powers the world’s technology and magic (Arts), but at a terrible cost: Oripathy. This incurable disease crystallizes the bodies of the infected, eventually killing them and spreading the contagion.

Society is fractured by this plague. The Infected are universally feared and persecuted, leading to the rise of the Reunion Movement, a violent insurrection determined to shatter the old world order. Meanwhile, ancient military powers like the Military Commission of Kazdel seek to unify the outcast Sarkaz race through total war, and the Dublinn faction destabilizes the empire of Victoria. Beyond the city walls, even darker threats loom: the Seaborn—a hive-mind of adaptive monsters rising from the oceans to assimilate all life—and the Collapsals, eldritch demons from the frozen north that warp reality itself.

Standing between Terra and total annihilation is Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company and paramilitary organization. Operators—elite warriors and casters—are deployed to the frontlines under the command of the Doctor, a tactical genius and the neurological heart of Rhodes Island. Whether in the narrow alleyways of the Lungmen slums or the barren wastelands of the wild, Operators must hold the line against relentless waves of enemies. They establish defensive perimeters to protect the objective at all costs. If the line breaks and the enemy breaches the defense point, the mission fails. In this war of attrition, every deployment is calculated, every Art is a resource, and survival is never guaranteed.
