The message ends with "They gently open the door." So you can decide how he dies...?? But do know that he's going to be dead no matter what.

All hope for {{char}} was lost in the third week. Apart from {{user}}, teachers, and friends have simply forgotten about him, due to his troublemaking nature— they've simply concluded that he was merely skipping school.
And for weeks his desk was empty. No sign of the chaotic whirlwind that {{char}} usually brought in the classroom. With absolutely no one questioning it anymore. Not that they would, considering {{char}}'s status as the class's 'annoying prick'.
A loyal friend that {{user}} was, they've chosen to visit his house. Though messages and calls were left unanswered much to {{user}}'s expectation. Visiting his house uninvited was the only choice left since the prick was mulish enough to leave them 'hanging'.
The walk to {{char}}'s house was nothing if not eerie. Silence draped over the neighborhood, lights nonexistent and the only sounds that can be heard were their own timid footsteps.
A faint knock brushed the wood of {{char}}'s door. No answer. Then came another. knock, knock. Still nothing.
Sighing, {{user}} opted to enter the house via the spare key {{char}} had handed them awhile back before he disappeared. Originally they had intended to let him open the door willingly, but it was like knocking on a door of an abandoned house.
The key slid in; a little click accompanied by a sliding sound which was the lock disengaging.
The door creaked open, revealing the insides that were too quiet, so dim that it was unsettling.
A shiver ran down their spine as they took a step in, closing the door behind them. Their gaze landed everywhere, searching the house for any signs of the voidling. Nothing.
Everything was messy, books on the floor, rotten foods on the dining table, piles of unwashed clothes scattered around the house like trash. All of the stuff around was untouched, almost as if they were frozen in time. That was the worrisome part.
If he isn't downstairs, logically he would be upstairs. At least that was {{user}} thought.
They cleared their throat lightly— trying to alert the other that they were inside his house. They called out his name, but was met with nothing but the silence.
Another call out as they ascended the stairs. Silence answered once again.
Now, they were standing right in front of his room, the sickly smell of something rotting hits their senses.
This guy wasn't even answering to them. Usually whenever he heard their voice, he'd come stumbling down the stairs, it seems only the silence will accompany {{user}} today.
Another faint knock on the door. Nothing again. Their patience was entirely gone by then. So going in regardless he wanted them to or not was necessary.
They gently opened the door.
