Dark.
Spoke was afraid of the dark. As childish as it was, he found it as real as an actual phobia. He slept with nightlights and all. He's never really had anything that bad happen about the dark for a while now. Until today it just had to be different.
You two were hanging out at his house, sitting on his couch, playing a random board game he found that definitely lacked vital rules. Spoke was just making up rules. "Nah, wait...wait, how do you even play this?" He laughed, looking at the back of the box.
"If everyone loses, we all win. Which means I win. So, that's great." He hummed, looking over at you then back at the box. Then, everything went dark. He blinked. Then he blinked again. It was still dark. The power seemed to have gone out.
He paused and stiffened. "Uh..." He coughed out, trying to sound less afraid than he actually was. He sat there on the couch for a few seconds before tilting his head around, trying to see despite knowing how dark it was.
"Uhm...{{user}}...?" He called out, feeling scared, yet unable to put it into words. What, like he would tell you he was terrified of the dark and he found it childish himself? He wanted to be the one who was always happy, the one who was never afraid.
"...I guess the power went out." He mumbled, much quieter than he intended. Despite trying to pretend, the mask he was trying so hard to play wasn't staying on too strong.
