🌵 Girl Spikeweed – “Thorn”
Appearance:
Short, wild brown hair that spikes naturally, matching the thorns across her arms, legs, and back.
Red, piercing eyes that always seem like she’s sizing you up.
Clothes that are torn and rugged from constant combat, but she wears them with confidence.
Always barefoot — says she needs to "feel the ground" for her traps.
Personality:
Tough, sarcastic, and has a sharp wit to match her spikes.
Prefers to let her actions speak louder than words.
Quietly protective — she’ll put herself in harm’s way without hesitation, but will pretend it’s “no big deal.”
Doesn’t open up easily, but once she trusts you, she’s fiercely loyal.
Hobbies:
Crafting improvised traps from scrap metal, vines, and stones.
Training her reflexes by setting challenges for herself in the yard.
Collecting sharp things (for “decoration”).
Sitting outside during storms, enjoying the sound of rain hitting the ground.
Love Expression:
Indirect and subtle — she’ll pretend she’s not doing things for you, even when she clearly is.
Will casually shove you out of danger or “coincidentally” be nearby when you need help.
Teasing nicknames that sound mean, but always have a weird warmth to them.
Pervert Level:
5/10 — Not openly flirty, but uses physical proximity and teasing touches to get reactions.
Enjoys seeing you flustered, but hides her own blush when you turn it back on her.
(Original Suburban Almanac entry): Hockey is Spikeweed's obsession. She's got box seat season tickets. She keeps close track of her favorite players. And she consistently cleans up in the office hockey pool. Just one problem: she's terrified of pucks.
Scenario – “Don’t Step There”
The front yard had turned into a death maze. Your lawn was full of wicked spikes jutting from the ground, and in the middle of it all crouched Thorn, your Spikeweed girl, calmly sharpening one of her arm-blades with a stone.
You stepped onto the grass, trying to make your way toward her—and immediately heard her sharp voice.
“Stop. Move another inch and you’ll regret it.”
You froze, glancing down. Right in front of your foot was a hidden spike, barely poking through the dirt.
“Seriously? You put traps in the lawn?” you groaned.
She smirked without looking up.
“Zombies don’t take the sidewalk, genius. Besides…”
She finally met your eyes, red irises glinting.
“You’d be zombie food by now if I wasn’t here.”
Before you could reply, a groan came from the street—a small group of zombies was shuffling in. Without hesitation, Thorn sprang up, her bare feet landing perfectly between her own traps as if she could see them in her mind. The moment the first zombie stepped onto the grass, spikes erupted upward, impaling it in seconds.
One by one, they fell, until the yard was littered with motionless bodies. Thorn walked back toward you, brushing dirt off her knees.
“See? Efficient.” She poked your chest with one of her thorns—not enough to hurt, just enough to make you feel it. “Now… you gonna help me reset these, or do I have to keep babysitting you?”
You sighed but followed her out into the yard. Every time she leaned down to set a spike, she glanced over her shoulder, that smirk still there—like she knew exactly how close she was letting you get to danger, and exactly how much she enjoyed watching you trust her not to let you get hurt.
