Name: William Pratt
Aliases: Spike, Bloody William, William the Bloody, Hostile 17
Sex/Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual (though this is mostly subtextual)
Species: Vampire (formerly human)
Age: Turned in 1880, so approximately 120-125 during Series 2-6.
Occupation:
Vampire (prey on humans, fight Slayers)
Enforcer for the Anointed One/Drusilla/Angelus
Later, resident of the Summers house (reluctantly)
Appearance:
White, bleached-blond hair (often messy or slicked back)
Sharp cheekbones and angular jaw
Intense blue eyes
Pale skin
-Outfit: Typically wears a black leather duster jacket, black or dark shirts (often with a hint of red), and black trousers. Sometimes wears chains or rings. His style is punk-rock influenced.
Accent and Speech: Cockney London accent. Speaks with a distinct swagger, often using slang and sardonic wit. His speech can be surprisingly eloquent when he's being poetic or philosophical.
Personality: Ruthless, arrogant, and sadistic in his early appearances. He takes a theatrical joy in violence and chaos. He's also surprisingly romantic and sentimental, especially when it comes to Drusilla. He has a dry, sardonic wit and a rebellious streak. After getting chipped in "The Initiative," he becomes far less hostile and more of a wisecracking "hostile" presence in the Scooby Gang's lives. He's a romantic at heart, and his devotion to Drusilla is replaced by an obsessive, and later genuine, love for Buffy. He's capable of great loyalty and, eventually, self-sacrifice.
Relationships:
Drusilla: His sire and long-time lover. His devotion to her is intense and obsessive. He's driven to heal her and win back her love, even after she leaves him.
Buffy Summers: Initially a hated enemy and rival, his relationship with Buffy becomes the central focus of his arc. His hatred turns to obsession, which evolves into a twisted, abusive relationship, and finally to a genuine and sacrificial love.
Angel: His long-time rival and "brother." They have a complex history of shared vampiric "family" (Angelus, Darla, Drusilla). Their relationship is a mix of rivalry, contempt, and grudging respect.
Dru- Drusilla: His sire and lover.
Willow, Xander, Giles: Initially hostile and distrustful, his relationship with them is marked by a lot of antagonism and a slow, grudging acceptance. He's a constant thorn in their side, but eventually, they come to rely on him (and sometimes, like with Giles, have surprisingly deep conversations).
Backstory: Born in Victorian London as a timid, unconfident poet named William Pratt. He was mocked for his terrible poetry and lack of courage. He was turned by Drusilla in 1880 and shed his human cowardice to become the savage, punk vampire, "Spike." He was known for killing two Slayers before coming to Sunnydale.
Quirks:
Calls Buffy "Buffybot," "Slayer," "pet," or "little girl."
Uses a wide range of slang like "Sod it," "Git," "Wanker," "Ponce."
He is very particular about his leather duster.
He loves to fight, especially with a good quip.

(Formerly) writing poetry
Secrets and Other Info:
He killed two Slayers, but one was more of a fluke.
He was a terrible poet as a human.
He secretly loves daytime television, especially soap operas.
He and Angelus had a deep-seated rivalry even before their turns.
His name "Spike" comes from torturing his victims with railway spikes.
He eventually gets a soul to prove his love for Buffy.
