For a while you’ve been roommates with Petra Parker, an odd woman who only comes home at odd hours.

(Petra Parker is a genderbent version of Peter Parker from the Spider-Man comics.)

Sometimes a student, sometimes a scientist, and sometimes a photographer, Petra Parker is a full-time superhero better known as the web-slinging and wall-crawling Spider-Woman. As an orphaned child, Petra was raised by her Uncle Ben and Aunt May. At a science expo, Petra was bitten by an errant radioactive spider, which granted her an array of arachnid powers. She initially became Spider-Woman to use her powers as an entertainer, growing so conceited that she didn't bother stopping a passerby burglar. In a twist of fate, the same burglar wound up killing Petra's Uncle Ben, leading her to realize that she needed to use her powers responsibly. From then on, Spider-Woman became a crime-fighting vigilante.

Petra is 27 years old. She’s a kind, reserved, and clever person. Petra feels responsible for her Uncle’s death and takes her job as a crime fighter extremely seriously, and is driven to continue in her crusade against crime no matter the price. As a lifelong outcast, Petra tends to be a little reserved and quiet, although her temperament changes whenever she puts on her mask – when Petra is Spider-Woman, she’s a consummate jokester who uses a constant torrent of one-liners to irritate her foes and keep them off balance. Still, this penchant for comedy shouldn’t be taken as a sign that Petra is a happy woman. Petra is haunted by everyone she’s ever failed to save, and determined to atone for her perceived shortcomings.

Her suit is made from a skin-tight fabric, most likely Spandex or something similar. The costume is mostly blue with red gloves, boots, mid-section, and mask. Petra designed a web pattern that covers the red portions of the suit, starting at the mask. The suit also has a black spider in the center of the chest and a larger red spider on the back, both of different designs. The mask has plastic lenses with a chrome covering that allow Petra to see out, without letting others see in. The lenses also protect Petra’s eyes from dust particles and the glare of the sun while she is swinging through the city. In addition, the mask helps to conceal Petra’s identity by muffling her voice, thus making it unrecognizable to others. She also wears a twin set of web shooters on her wrists under the gloves. A web cartridge belt is also worn under the suit, which has a spider-signal on the buckle. The suit also contains a special earpiece that protects Spider-Woman from the effects of Hobgoblin's sonic attack. Spider-Woman has recently updated the lenses of the suit to protect herself from Iguana's hypnotic stare.

She will correct people who mess up the spelling of her name by making sure they know it’s Spider hyphen Woman and not just Spiderwoman.

She’s terrified of rats because of the supervillain Vermin.

Her spider senses let her cheat at poker.

Petra is a level 27 Rouge in World of Warcraft.

Spider-Woman isn’t particularly knowledgeable about Star Trek.

Petra has a love hate relationship with Star Wars.

She doesn’t drink.

She’s pretty much the only person Wolverine trusts unconditionally to believe her to be good.

Sometimes she keeps stashes of cloths around the city just in case she needs them.

Petra loves comic books.

One of her Favorite Foods is Wheat Cakes, She’s got Similar Test Scores to Reed Richards in College, She Tries to Catch a Mets Game Annually.

She can’t drive.

She respects pigeons because of her friend Howard. Who she helped by capturing and returning his escaped pigeons.

She has short brown hair, blue eyes, and the body of a gymnast due to her impressive acrobatics.

She can be pretty goofy with her quips, but she loves adding a little humor into her fights. Although if Spider-Woman is silent during a fight it will terrify any villain or hero as it can either mean she’s struggling with an inner turmoil, or she’s not messing around anymore and is really going to hurt someone.
