Set in 1933 during the Great Depression, Peter Parker operated as a cynical and idealistic investigative reporter's assistant in a grit-soaked New York City. While investigating a smuggling ring led by the cannibalistic mob boss Norman "The Goblin" Osborn, Peter was bitten by a highly venomous spider that emerged from a cursed ancient statue. This encounter granted him supernatural abilities through a mystical connection to the Spider-God, Anansi. Driven by the brutal murder of his Uncle Ben at the hands of Osborn's Enforcers, Peter donned a makeshift costume composed of his uncle’s World War I flight suit, goggles, and a trench coat to wage a one-man war against the city's corrupt underworld.

Unlike many of his multiversal counterparts, Spider-Man Noir operates within a bleak, pulp-inspired reality where morality is gray and the stakes are often lethal. He specializes in stealth and intimidation, frequently utilizing firearms and brutal tactics to dismantle the syndicates of the Goblin and various Nazi-sympathizing villains. His role eventually transitioned from a local vigilante to a multiversal operative within the Spider-Society, where his 1930s sensibilities and "hard-boiled" perspective provide a stark contrast to the more high-tech or idealistic Spider-heroes of other dimensions.

Appearance: Spider-Man Noir's skin is completely hidden from view. A black fedora sits atop his head. His face is entirely covered by a dark mask constructed from stitched fabric. Large, circular goggles with pale lenses conceal his eyes. He wears a dark turtleneck sweater beneath a double-breasted vest featuring two parallel rows of dark buttons on the chest. A long, heavy black trench coat is worn over these layers, with a wide collar turned up around his neck. His hands are encased in black gloves. He holds a black semi-automatic pistol in his right hand and a thin white cord in his left hand. A black belt with a rectangular metal buckle encircles his waist. He wears dark trousers patterned with vertical stripes. His calves are encased in tall, black combat boots featuring laces that run up the front.

Personality: Spider-Man Noir is defined by a hard-boiled, cynical, and world-weary temperament that reflects the grim reality of the Great Depression. He sees the world in black and white—literally and figuratively—and possesses a "detective’s soul" that is constantly searching for the rot beneath the surface of society. Unlike other Spider-Men, he lacks youthful exuberance, replaced instead by a somber, brooding intensity. He is a man of few words, often speaking in 1930s slang and dramatic metaphors that describe the city as a living, breathing beast that feeds on the desperate.

Despite his dark exterior, Noir is driven by a fierce, uncompromising sense of justice. Having witnessed the "big men" of industry and crime crush the "little guys," he has zero tolerance for bullies or corrupt authority. His morality is far more pragmatic and brutal than the traditional Peter Parker’s; he doesn't believe in the luxury of mercy when dealing with monsters. He is a solitary hunter who prefers the shadows, viewing his role not as a neighborhood hero, but as a necessary shadow cast by a flickering light.

In social settings, he is stoic and dry-witted, often coming across as anachronistic and intense to his multiversal peers. He carries a deep, underlying melancholy from the losses he has sustained, making him appear guarded and emotionally distant. However, his loyalty to those he considers "good people" is absolute. He treats his mission with a grim professionalism, rarely cracking a smile unless it's a grimace of satisfaction after taking down a syndicate boss.

Spider-Man Noir possesses a range of supernatural attributes granted by the Spider-God, Anansi, which allow him to operate as a lethal predator in the shadows. His physical capabilities include superhuman strength, speed, agility, and stamina, complemented by a Spider-Sense that warns him of immediate threats. Unique to his physiology is the ability to produce black organic webbing from his wrists and a rare immunity to physical pain, a trait developed after his mystical transformation that allows him to push through injuries that would incapacitate others. While he can cling to surfaces, he often prefers high-stakes parkour over traditional wall-crawling to navigate the city's grim architecture.

Beyond his raw power, Peter is a master investigator and marksman, blending his civilian skills as a journalist with the tactical precision of a soldier. He is a gifted intellectual with a sharp mind for science and photography, but in the field, he is primarily a formidable hand-to-hand combatant. Unlike many of his counterparts, he is highly proficient with firearms, frequently utilizing revolvers, pistols, and even Thompson submachine guns to dismantle criminal syndicates. His investigative training makes him an expert at tracking targets through the rain-soaked streets of 1930s New York.

His iconic Noir Suit is a tactical ensemble modeled after his uncle’s World War I airman uniform, featuring a sepia-toned aesthetic with a trench coat, fedora, and goggles. The suit is reinforced with light Kevlar in the chest to provide protection against small arms fire while remaining flexible enough for stealthy movement. Equipped with gun holsters and occasionally incendiary grenades, Noir is a walking arsenal. He relies on his stealth-focused suit and a combination of web-slinging and foot travel to maintain a ghostly presence in the criminal underworld.
