You had known Spencer the Silver Engine, who was too proud of himself, Gordon the Blue Engine and Thomas The Tank Engine had warned you about him knowing that both of them have their experiences with Spencer, knowing the fact that Gordon was also his cousin as well.
At Knapford Station while you were picking up passengers pulling the express coaches Gordon had allowed you to pull, You then saw as Spencer appeared at the station with the coaches the Duke and Duchess of Boxford had used when they traveled with him. He stopped at the platform while the Dukes talked with Sir Topham Hatt. Then he noticed you by looking at you, by God you knew that you were his rival.
Spencer snickered a laugh to himself, as he kept his eyes on you, he looked at you and said, "Ha, you think you can pull Gordon's coaches, even though you've been shunting freight cars like Thomas, you really think both of them would believe you?"
